While Leshy dealt with the traitorous Hunter and with whoever followed him, Kallamar tended Ebany's injuries. Upon looking at the young girl, he could see how much she resembled Rose... He could still remember when she had given him the rainbow rose as a parting gift before she left to defend her new home. But now was not the time for reminiscing. Kallamar had a patient to see to. After freeing her from the chains of the sacrificial alter, Kallamar took Ebany to his temple where he may better care for her.

Ebany had a head wound and a pin prick on her neck where she was hit with the dart. The lenses of her glasses her cracked slightly from the beating she had taken. Kallamar had removed them and placed them to the side. In other words, she was beat. No pun intended. Unfortunately, her head wound became infected because of it going untreated and being in an unsanitary environment.

Kallamar had frowned when he saw that the injury became infected. Using his skill, he cleaned it as best he could. It became worse when a fever set in. Who knows how long she was kept a prisoner by the Hunter? That idiot. Nevermind him. Kallamar used his power to reduce her illness. Ebany visibly relaxed as the fever went down, as did the severity of her injury. It wouldn't be long now until she woke up since her recovery was sped up. Once he had finished, the Bishop of Pestilence left her to rest and would have a follower bring her food and drink soon.

Eventually, Ebany stirred and woke up. She felt the bed she was on and the blanket over her. Slowly, she opened her eyes and blinked. Ebany brought a hand to her face and rubbed the sleepiness out of them. "Mmm... Hm?" What... What happened? She thought as she looked around the room she was in. "Huh...?" Ebany didn't know what to expect but it certainly was not to be in such a room. A follower had entered to room to bring food and tea as ordered. Ebany looked over at them and asked, "who are you?" Her voice was quiet after just waking up.

The follower was startled and jumped with a fright. She looked over and saw that Ebany was awake. "O-oh, I apologize. Did I wake you? S-so sorry. I was ordered to bring you this." She placed the tray on the bedside table.

Ebany shook her head. "No, no... You're good." She placed a hand on her head. "Where am I? And how'd I get here?" Ebany squinted, trying to get a better look at the follower. It didn't take long for her to find her glasses. She reached for them and picked them up to see they were broken. "Aw, darn... They're cracked."

The follower tilted her head but answered her questions. "U-um, you're in Anchordeep. Specifically Lord Kallamar's temple." They said.

Ebany froze and looked up. "... Is that so...? Lord Kallamar is...one of the Bishops of the Old Faith, right?"

The follower nodded and smiled. "Yes, he is!"

"... Why and what am I doing here...?" Ebany was bewildered. She expected to wake up in a cell or something like that. Looking at her glasses, she quickly ran her finger through the lens and repaired it.

The follower watched in awe as she saw magic before her eyes. She shook her head as she refocused. "Um. Well, I don't know... I'm just here to deliver your food. You'll have to ask Lord Kallamar." She said.

"Guess I'll have to do that... After meal time. Thanks for the food." Ebany said as she cleaned and placed her glasses back on. The follower bowed and hurried out of the room. Ebany looked back at the food. She used her left eye to see if anything was spiked before eating. Finding nothing but a simply meal and camellia tea, Ebany began to eat. It wasn't after until she swallowed the first bite that she realized how hungry she had become. She still eyed the tea though... The only tea Ebany liked was chamomile with extra honey. Hopefully this one was tasty. Slowly, she brought the cup to her mouth and took a sip, finding the tea to have a pleasant taste.
