"Ratau?!" Edan wasn't expecting to see him but remembered that he told Ratau that he'd be back soon! The fox grinned with delight, this world make the lamb's choice easier.

"Lamb!! Do not trust that beast!" Ratau said, heading over to them, glaring at the fox.

"How kind of you to bring the rat straight to me~!" The fox practically purred when he saw Ratau.

"Ratau, get back to the Cult!!" Edan said with urgency. He wasn't going to sacrifice Ratau!

"I've dealt with this cretin before. It wouldn't dare try anything with the Red Crown present. Would you, darkness?" Ratau looked at the fox, knowing fully well what he was capable of.

"Perhaps… but the little lamb is driving my patience. I may take the risk, rat~" The fox said, itching to take a bite from Ratau...

"Have you made a deal with it?" Ratau asked, he was very serious right now...

"... A few times, but I told him enough was enough!" Edan said. He felt rather stupid right now... He should have suspected something after he first follower...

Ratau was disappointed upon hearing that and then looked at the fox. "Then it seems our business is finished here."

"Is it? What is stopping me from taking you right here, right now…?" The fox looked closer to him, only to be blocked by Edan.

«¡Ni lo pienses maldito zorro!» Edan got in between them, using the language Ebany taught him. He told the damn fox to not even think about doing it.

"Such a brave little lamb~ and knowledgeable of foreign tongues… the last person who spoke to me like that has been long dead… a beautiful rose with such sharp thorns. I don’t mind a fight, if it means I get what I want!" The fox challenged. Edan knew he had to be talking about Ebany's ancestor. They spoke the same language which he had learned.

"Lambi, don't... it is dangerous." Ratau warned. Ratau knew that Edan could fight, but the fox was a different story.

"... I've faced worse. I'm not letting him have you!" Edan glared at the fox, keeping his eyes on him.

"Edan." Ratau tried to stop him but the fox spoke up.

"Oh, how sweet. The lamb caring for the rat~... Let's see how deep it goes!" The fox leapt at them and attacked! Edan reacted quickly and blocked the fox with his sword, pushing him back. Ratau used his walking stick as a spear to defend. He may be old, but still knew how to fight! The fox kept grinning and smirking, he was enjoying this... Nonetheless, Edan and Ratau fought the fox, pushing him back. The fox waited until the perfect opportunity arose to capture Ratau, but Edan didn't make it easy. So that's how close they were and why Edan didn't budge.

During the fight, the fox managed to push Edan away and grabbed Ratau. "At last..." The fox showed his teeth with an evil smile...

"NO!!!" Edan's eyes flashed read as he ran at the fox and smacked him away with his Warmaker's hammer. The fox was stunned and dropped Ratau who hit the ground hard and grunting as he did so. The fox stumbled back and walks knocked down by Edan, the hammer now his sword at his neck. Edan's eyes were red with anger.

The fox looked at the lamb. "I will give this round to you, little laaamb... but you have not seen the last of me!" He laughed maniacally before disappearing... Edan could hardly care as he went to Ratau.
