Ebany rode with her mother and father to Redwall Abbey. Webber was with them as well and road in the back of the wagon with the pups. Not only were they making a delivery, but the had been invited to celebrate Name day, the naming of the new season. It was soon becoming fall and the Father Abbot would christen the new season with a name to be revealed at a feast. Ebany's family would help with the preparations and spend the night there. There was food, music, dancing, games, you name it. There was always plenty to eat at Redwall Abbey.

Max pulled the wagon alongside Melody, his mate and Richy's horse. She had been spending time with Max while Ebany was away and they were very much in love. Ebany was surprised no foals were born in the time she was out, but figured out why quickly. They wanted their babies safe, whenever they would have any. Ebany then wondered about her cousin, Johnathan. He was planning to propose to Faith soon. Maybe they would get married at Redwall. All were welcome, of course. Unless you wanted to cause trouble.

Max pulled up to the abbey and stopped with Melody. They neighed upon arrival. Lume got out first and helped his family out. They were greeted by Constance who was by the usual back entrance.

"Hello Phoenix Family! I hope all is well." The badger smiled as she walked over to them.

"Hello Constance. We're quite well. How are things going in the Abbey? No invaders on your doorstep?" Lumen asked, half joking.

"Not since Cluny the Scourge was slain by the great Joseph Bell. I hope it stays like this for many a season to come." Constance told him. She caught notice of Ebany and Webber unloading the delivery. "I heard the news about Ebany becoming the new wielder of the Crimson Stone, is it true?" She whispered to Lume.

"It is. We couldn't be more proud of our little fire flower!" Lume whispered back. They knew full well that Ebany didn't like being talked about. They did have to stop that conversation since Ebany sneezed.

The badger mother was proud of the person Ebany was growing into. It seemed that only yesterday that she was a little dibbun running around with friends or reading a book somewhere in a shy corner. Now she was an apprentice of magic and owner of the Crimson Stone. Constance led them inside where they would drop off the medicine at the infirmary. Afterwards, the were brought to Cavern Hole, where many mice beastmen were hard at work decorating for Name day. They were the brothers and sisters of Redwall Abbey. Among them was Matthias, the Warrior of Redwall Abbey.

Ebany surprised him as she walked up to the mouse silently. "Hola Matthias." She said.

"Oh!" The mouse looked up. "Ebany! I didn't hear you coming!"

"Guess I'm quieter than I thought." Ebany said. "Need some assistance?" She asked.

"Yes. Can you fly up to place the garland and ribbons?" He asked and handed her said items.

"Sure." Ebany said and flew high into the room. She knew what to do, having done it before. The residents were always appreciative of her help. Many even wished they could fly like Ebany to get to the super high places. Meanwhile, down on the ground, Webber helped the children make cute decorations. Feniks would help in the kitchens and always got a sneak peek at what the Name Day dessert was. Lumen would speak to the medics about their order while in the infirmary. The wolves helped where they could.

Others would come throughout the day, like the Stoneheart family. That included Richy, his brothers, his parents, and Snowy. They would aid with the finishing touches for the Name Day decorations. It was also a good opportunity for Ebany and Richy to spend some much needed quality time together. Sister May, one of the mice at Redwall, noticed and made sure they were left alone as the two lovebirds walked about the garden. That included keeping Basil Staghare very busy. He was a nice hare but would probably ask all about the pair's relationship a little too much. Fortunately, he respected them.
