After Ebany had gone to bed, Ratau cuddled Edan who happily cuddled back. It was when he looked at Flinky that the literal infant god grew scared. Flinky flicked his tongue at him, but it made Edan bury his face in Ratau's shirt. Edan wasn't scared when he first met Flinky because he had gotten over his fear of snakes, but it reemerged a tad as Edan looked at Flinky. Blame the mean coral snake that bit him when he was an actual kid.

"Yer scarin' him Flink." Ratau cuddled Edan to comfort him.

"He'sss fine." Flinky protested.

"He's a baby." Ratau retorted.

"He'sss a god now, Ratau! Jussst becaussse he isss the sssize of a baby. Dosssen't mean he needsss to act like one." Flinky stated. Edan only whimpered, not liking the arguing one bit.

"Flinky, stop. He's a baby for a few days." Ratau cuddled Edan again. Flinky hissed and left.

"Snakey scawy." Edan looked at Ratau.

"Nah. He's just grumpy. Been that way since I've known him." Ratau said.

"No bite?" Edan asked.

"No, he won't bite." Ratau chuckled.

"Yay." Edan laid his head on him. Ratau looked around for a spare blanket and swaddled Edan once he found it.

"You get some sleep, okay kiddo?" Ratau looked at him.

"Nom nom?" Edan was kind of hungry.

"Ah." Ratau grabbed a bottle that Ebany left on the table and held it to Edan. "Here." He said. The baby lamb drank the milk and tried to hold the bottle himself. Ratau held the bottle steady for him.

"Hah..." Edan would drink all the milk and settle done once finished.

"You were hungry, huh?" Ratau put the empty bottle aside. Edan cooed and held Ratau's finger, making the rat smile. Eventually, Edan fell asleep and Ratau set him on the couch.

"It's gonna be a long night..." Ratau sighed and hoped Flinky would return. He stayed awake a while before falling asleep next to Edan. Flinky would indeed return and see that his boyfriend was sleeping with the lamb. Since the Phoenix lamb had taken the cot, Flinky slithered over and coiled Ratau and Edan very carefully. He made sure they were comfy before laying his head down and going to sleep.

In the morning, Edan and Ratau would be wrapped up in Filnky's coils as they slept. Everyone was fast asleep. Flinky was making breakfast, being the first one to wake up. Ebany was the second to awaken despite being more tired than she realized, and came out of the room after freshening up. She made the cot after using it and walked back to the main room. Flinky would motion her to sit down quietly. Ebany that Ratau and Edan were wrapped up and did so.

Ratau stirred and woke up. He blinked as he didn't expect to wake up in Filnky's coils. Edan was still asleep. Ratau got up with Edan once he was fully away.

"Morning." Ebany said.

"Morning. I don't suppose you have milk for when he wakes?" Ratau asked.

"I made sure to pack plenty and soft food for him." Ebany replied.

"Good." Ratau sat down as Ebany took out the food for Edan. The little lamb stirred awake. "Morning." Ratau petted him.

"Dada." Edan yawned as he woke up.
