Disclaimer: I do not own Cult of the Lamb. I am simply a fan of the game. I was inspired by Jbrine061. Please check out her story. She is amazing. Now onto the story.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Ebany continued her studies with Merlin and told him more and more of her adventures from start to finish while in the godless lands. From when she met Edan until they parted ways. Thanks to Nox, there was a way back. Since he has been busy, she couldn't research about her ancestor's way to the lands of the Old Faith. Then studies started which helped with research. Merlin listen and was intrigued. He had met Rose long ago, but didn't have much interaction with her.
He didn't know of her friendships outside of Noonveil. Merlin helped his apprentice as best he could regardless. He certainly helped her keep in touch with her cat friends in ThunderClan. Thanks to the crystal , she and Bluestar relaid messages to each other. All was well for now. All they had to do was wait for word from Nox who had sent word that he was searching for the teleportation stone. It had been almost a month since Ebany had been back.
In that time, she had gained a new understanding of her powers and confidence. It was easier to access much of the power that she had within her. Part of her will always fear what it could do should it get out of hand. One wrong move and she could burn everything she touched. Thanks to her friends and loved ones, they helped her see past her pessimistic views. Even if she had let her power flow during the final battle with Narinder, her fear wasn't fixed just like that. On the long weekend, Ebany shared a date with Richy, the two having a fun time together as their pups followed behind them.
Ebany spent time with her friends and even had a joint lesson every now and then with Lightwave when Merlin's son came to visit his father. Ebany surprised her friends when she told them about her adventures now in full detail and showed them the knife gifted to her by Kallamar. Lightwave was able to find a few books about the Old Faith and asked Ebany about the details she knew. Lightwave had come to the same conclusion Ebany had. It was a little bit of everyone's fault regarding what happened a millennia ago. Amy asked how Narinder had been, curious how a former god would adjust to living in his former vessel's Cult.
Ebany would tell them what Edan told her. The lamb still went by Edan, even adding it to his official name! It was one of his ways to thank Ebany for what she did for him. Ebany's sisters in arms were happy that Ebany had gained such a good friend and little sibling. Amy joked by saying that she wasn't the youngest among them anymore. Ebany would definitely bring them along to visit once she heard from her uncle. Rose had hidden the teleportation stone quite well to avoid anyone from finding it. The last thing she wanted was for someone to use it. That was a disaster waiting to happen. Rose took precautions by making sure that only she and her family could use it. They gave permission to use they wanted to use it.
Ebany's friends had all met Webber and they quite liked the little spider. Webber wanted to learn from each of them whenever Ebany brought him along with her. Lightwave taught him magic and he even picked up on a few spells! How? He had found a violet magical stone that allowed him to use magic. Lightwave checked with Seto to see if the stone was safe to use. After checking and double checking, it seemed that it was indeed safe for Webber. It wasn't an all powerful stone or something, but Webber didn't mind. He could make shields and levitate objects to himself or move them where he want them. After promising Seto to use it responsibly (mostly), he allowed the spider to keep it. On the condition to come at least a few times a week to learn to wield it.
Webber happily agreed as he felt closer to Shamura. Webber could no longer make sparkling silk thread as Ebany's magic over him had worn off. It was nice while it lasted and the sparkling silk he did make remain. Now he could use magic like his parent could! Sure it wasn't the same, but it was magic! Webber also waited for Nox to respond with news of the whereabouts to the teleportation stone to return to the Cult. He wanted to visit his friends. Speaking of, he made some new friends while visiting town with Feniks. It was when he went with her to town and they made a stop at the bakery. Webber met Amy's mother's familiar, Hana the tiger.
