Edan was reading Ebany's recent letter from Ebany in his room. He was seated on his bed as he eagerly read what she sent. He even got a box of brownies! They were heavenly. Nothing tops them! Based on what she wrote, helping her warrior cat friends would take longer as new problems had arisen. She wouldn't be able visit for a while, but Webber could. Her plan to tweak the entrance had worked and now Webber could easily access the secret entrance at will. Since he was fifteen, Ebany did consider letting Webber go on his own, but her parents forbade it. He might be fifteen, but he didn't look like it which made it risky for him.

Webber had become like part of the family to them! Ebany's parents saw him as a son or nephew! Plus, they were his guardians while in Noonveil. So long as he went with Ebany or one of her friends, then he could make his way to the secret spot. Oh, and her parents hoped to meet Edan once he was finished with his task at hand. So it was likely that Webber would be visiting with one of Ebany's friends soon. He hadn't met all of them yet and hoped to meet the others soon. He just hoped that Kallamar wouldn't flirt with them. He remembered when Ebany told him how he up and proposed to Rose and she rejected him twice. Since there was nothing about a visit soon, Edan figured that he had enough time to crusade now that the door to Silk Cradle was open.

Plus, he could now get more silk as a peace offering for Webber. The tailors could use some too. Best get ready and finish up around the Cult before heading out. Having made up his mind, Edan headed out of his house and into the camp, performing whatever duty he had to do. All was well until he heard someone coming towards him. Edan looked over to Hector looking rather panicked.

"Leader! The baby! Georgie! It's coming!!" Hector said so many things at once that Edan couldn't understand until he helped Hector calm down. To rephrase, Georgina's water broke and the baby was on its way! Georgina's friends helped her to the medical tent where Hector and Edan hurried too. Kana was already on the job as she had experience as a midwife. Her mother was a midwife actually! She had her lady assistants at the ready. It wasn't a sexist thing, it was just to help Georgina feel more comfortable. Hector hurried to his wife's side and held her hand. Georgina had an iron grip!

Everyone else was made to wait outside and that included Edan. Since it was Georgina's first baby, it might take a while. Edan decided to postpone a crusade in case anything happened. A leader needed to be present to give his blessings to the baby after all and help should anything bad happen. Edan could only imagine the pain as he heard Georgina cry out from the other room. Seeing as he could do nothing until the baby was born, he requested a follower let him know once the infant arrived. Edan walked over and tried to remember when his little sister had been born.

If he remembered correctly, his mother had a hard time giving birth as there were a couple of complications. Fortunately, it went well as his little sister was born healthy. If only she got to live life to the fullest. Edan had done the resurrection ritual before and wished he could revive at least his family... but he had never been able to. Ebany would probably offer to do it, but he knew that it would be impossible for her because of the conditions she had to follow. To revive someone, they needed to be recently deceased and intact to some degree. It had been so long that it wasn't even worth trying...

Edan was snapped out of his thoughts when he saw Ratau walking towards him. Edan happily greeted his mentor and told him about the news. Ratau smiled and couldn't wait to congratulate the couple. Ratau was also reminded of when Edan got turned into a cute little baby! Yes, he still had pictures! Edan couldn't help but get embarrassed and flustered when he mentioned it. They would wait a while before the baby would arrive...
