Disclaimer: I do not own Cult of the Lamb or the game dialogue. I am simply a fan of the game. I was inspired by Jbrine061. Please check out her story. She is amazing. Now onto the story.

When Leshy took her to her room, Ebany knew that his battle with Edan would start soon. If she knew exactly where it was happening, then she may have snuck over there to see what was happening. Plus, she didn't want to distract Edan during the fight... In fact, Ebany didn't know if she wanted anyone to win... One fighter was the little lamb she grew to see as a younger brother. And the other was a very old family friend forgotten to time... At least he was until Ebany learned of his bond with her ancestor.

Ebany is a very cautious person and hated when things kept going wrong with no sign of stopping. She wished she could just stop everything, but knew things never worked that way. The past three days were uneventful and she didn't to properly interact with Leshy until just earlier. It felt nice to sing after some time. When she sang for Leshy, it felt more than the honor of singing for a Bishop.

When Ebany sang, she felt reconnected with nature, as it was part of her. Ebany wasn't just a phoenix hybrid, she was an elven phoenix hybrid. Elves had married into her family some centuries ago and her father was part of that side of the family. Her mother was a phoenix hybrid. Put together, Ebany is half phoenix, a quarter human, and a quarter elf. It could explain why she felt attuned with the flora in the Bishop's garden.

Back to the matter at hand, Ebany was currently thinking of ideas of how to either get to Edan or stop this whole mess. Every idea, however, was crossed off her mind list... Rune tried to help by cuddling and cheering her up. It helped a bit and Ebany petted her wolf and gave her scratches behind the ears. It wasn't until she felt a large rumble that she stopped.

Ebany immediately looked at the door and hurried to open it. "What's going on?!" She looked at the followers on guard.

"Our master is more than likely fighting the cursed lamb now! We didn't think their battle would be this heated, however!" One of them said, holding onto the wall to stop themselves from falling.

"Should he give the command, we will take you to Anura, so have your things ready! Though I highly doubt we'll have need to. The lamb is no match for the Bishop of Chaos!" The other said. They pushed Ebany back inside, "you'll be safer in there!" They shut the door.

"... Something tells me I'm going to Anura whether I like it or not... At some point anyway..." Ebany said. The traveling clothes she had arrived in were in her backpack and she now wore her usual outfit she had worn while living with Edan. The rest of her things were still in her pack and there they shall remain...

Leshy had stood in front of one of the chains that held down The One Who Waits. The cultists around him had killed themselves to give their lives to their master. Upon doing so, Leshy absorbed their souls and turned into his eldritch form... A rather large and monstrous worm... Smaller worms were also on the battle field which got in Edan's way. Edan fought them off while getting a few hits on Leshy.

The little nuisances distracted Edan and made him miss a few hits. Leshy burrowing underground didn't help, nor did it become easier after the smaller enemies were destroyed. Edan ducked and dodged the little fireballs that came from Leshy's mouth, but his fleece got gotten a tad singed. It was nothing he worried much about, he used to live with a being of living fire after all!

Edan followed the spikes from Leshy's back to where he would emerged and attacked with all his might before the worm burrowed again.
