Ebany would wake up a couple of hours later, feeling a bit better after having a nap. She felt like her old self again, but the memories of what happened a couple days ago came back. It wasn't long before she felt sad again. Ebany the type to take several days to get over something. A death would take the longest time. It was the same when she lost Sister Evelyn. Perhaps time will heal this wound as it did the others. Ebany would get out of bed and wonder if she check on Edan and Narinder. Hmm... maybe later. Knowing them, they were cuddling up a storm.

It was hard to believe that they finally managed to get along. Narinder hated the lamb at first, at least, that's what it seemed like. Then Narinder grew tolerable of the lamb, then they became lovers. Ebay wondered when they would get married. Rather, how long with it take. Maybe after a while of courting. Edan was still very young in mortal years and a baby in god years. Ebany continued to think about it until she made it to the kitchen. Who she didn't expect to see was Heket there, cooking something along with Benjy.

When Ebany walked over and asked what they were doing, she recognized the scent of the recipe they were working on. It was her mother's rice pudding. Heket noticed that Ebany seemed more emotionally drained rather than physically after respawning. Benjy explained it Heket that Ebany had lost a dear friend and was grieving for them. Due to the circumstances of the situation, that friend couldn't be revived. It was still a mystery if she could have been revived at all. Heket wanted to see if Ebany was alright. When Kallamar came to check up on her, she had still been asleep. Benjy was there to give him updates. Ebany explained that she just needed a nap after a respawn since it takes a good deal of strength to take out her life force.

While the rice pudding was cooking, Ebany and Heket sat down and chatted. Ebany told her everything... about her secret job of being a spy, and about the friend she lost. The reason she always speaks of ThunderClan anonymously was because they were to be kept secret. They were part of what Ebany called the secret clans of Noonveil. Heket could hardly believe that there were clans of sentient cats. Then again, Noonveil was a magical place. She listened as Ebany told her who had died. Yellowfang and Ebany grew close thanks to their knowledge of herbs. Ebany would tell her of the ones she knew and Yellowfang would teach her of the ones cats used.

Ebany still remembered the conversation they had long before the fire. Around the time Echoleaf received their amulet to help control their human form.

Ebany was picking herbs under a tree when she heard a meow behind her. She looked over and saw that it was Yellowfang. Smiling, she went to shift into a cat, but the elderly cat stopped her.

"Stay like that. I've seen you plenty of times to know it's you and not just some lookalike. You'll save energy too." Yellowfang walked over and placed a bundle down. "You'd have better left some for me now."

"If there's not enough, I can regrow them." Ebany said.

"Yes, yes. Then I'll have the good ones too." Yellowfang got to work. It was until she finished that she asked Ebany about something that had been on her mind every since Echoleaf was freed. "Ebany...?"

"Yes, Yellowfang?" Ebany looked at her.

"Now that Echoleaf has a human form... will she age as you and Amaliafeather do? Slower than us?" Yellowfang looked over at her.
