"Well... at least you didn't kill all of them."

Rosa looked right at Edan when she said that. Edan looked over at her, his gaze meeting hers. The others looked over at them. They saw Rosa walk to Edan and patted his head. Her eyes went from cold, to sympathetic. «Que lindo eres, corderito.» Rosa smiled a bit.

Heket and Shamura were the first to realize why Rosa was acted so coldly towards them. Rose never approved of what they were doing to the lambs... Rosa didn't either, nor did anyone in the family. Would you? They had basically done what others had tried to do to magic users, but unlike them, the Bishops succeeded until they got to Edan. Kallamar and Leshy realized what she meant by her words as well. The Phoenix siblings looked at the oldest sister, all with concerned faces.

Narinder could see that his siblings' actions was coming back to bite them. With Ebany, she hadn't forgiven the Bishops for what they did to the lamb or his kind. With Rosa... she seemed to still hold a grudge. He didn't know what happened in the outside world during his imprisonment aside from the number of lambs that remained and the souls of the dead that went to the afterlife.

"Umm... Sorry, but who are all of you exactly?" Edan asked the obvious question.

"Ah, we never introduced ourselves properly to all of you. Hermanos." Rose looked at her siblings who quickly lined up. "I am Rosa Aralia Phoenix, and they are my siblings." She looked at them.

«¡Soy Maria Rosalia!» Maria bowed her head.

«Solana Rose, para servirle.» Solana curtsied.

"Helios Adlan. And the youngest is Ricky." Helios looked at the youngest son and brother.

"Short for Ricardo." Ricardo said.

"And who are you, little lamb?" Rosa asked.

"I'm Cael, but everyone calls me Edan!" He smiled and got another pat on the head.

"Since you're here, then the prophecy has been fulfilled and Tío Narinder is freed." Rosa looked at the cat.

"It's a long story..." Narinder looked away.

"And who is this cute little arañita?" Maria looked at Webber.

"This is Webber, my son." Shamura introduced him.

"He's adorable!" Maria smiled and got to cuddling the spiderling. Webber chittered and nuzzled.

"So what gives? Why did you all stop contacting and visiting us?" Leshy asked the question that had all been on their minds. The siblings looked at each other, knowing the time had finally come to reveal why they stopped visiting their mother's friends. The Bishops awaited their answer.

"You should know partially why. As for the rest, the short answer is that we lost touch." Rosa said to him.

"I get you were grieving..." Leshy began.

"But it's been centuries..." Kallamar finished.

"Is it... because... lambs?" Heket asked.

"Maybe..." Rosa avoided eye contact.

"Yes..." Maria answered for them.

"We couldn't continue to visit knowing what you were doing." Solana explained further.

"We were doing what we had to... what we thought was necessary." Leshy tried to defend their actions. Edan stared at him most disapprovingly.

"And killing an entire race was going to do it? You’ve told that to us when we were kids after we learned what you were doing." Rosa countered.
