Disclaimer: I do not own Cult of the Lamb. I am simply a fan of the game. I was inspired by Jbrine061. Please check out her story. She is amazing. Now onto the story.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~When Kallamar returned to his temple, thankful that there were no bugs around, he went to check on Ebany. After a knock or two, he opened the door to the room she was in. Ebany was still asleep, cuddling her puppy. Kallamar walked inside and looked around, stopping once he saw Benjamin... bigger? He was human sized!
Benjy looked over, he was by Ebany's backpack with a few sets of clothes in his arms. "Welcome back, Lord Kallamar." He greeted him.
"Weren't you... smaller?" Kallamar asked.
"Normally, but I can grow to this size when needed. My mistress is still asleep and the fever is going down slowly." He said.
"I see... that is good. She will recover as long as she rests." Kallamar turned to Ebany. It was good that she was recovering. He walked over and checked on her condition. Benjy was right, Ebany's fever had gone down. She would be fine once she woke up. Kallamar walked to where he left the book he referenced when making the medicine. Once the patient woke up, they would need a second dose of the medicine. After that, they should recover shortly after. If they didn't, they will need more of it so long as it persists. Kallamar kept that in mind for when she woke up. Rose was in bed for three days before she began to feel better.
"Lord Kallamar?" Benjy said, making the Bishop turn to him. "Where can I wash my mistress' clothing?" He inquired.
"I'll have one of my followers show you where or have them do it themselves." Kallamar took notice of something about the clothes the fairy had. "I assume purple is her favorite color?"
Benjy nodded. "It is. She has clothing of other colors, but prefers various shades of purple. Her mother would say that it's thanks to her fair complexion that Ebany looks good in any color at all," he said as he picked up a rather fancy looking outfit. "Hm, perhaps this too but she hasn't gotten to wear it..." Benjy said to himself.
"I will take care of this... you focus on her." Kallamar said to him.
"As you say." Benjy said, holding the clothes which Kallamar took and left. Benjy was left to watch over Ebany. He shifted back into his small fairy form after closing her backpack and flew to his mistress.
Kallamar was reminded of something when he saw the fancy set. He had been the one to help Heket design a dress for Rose as a gift. Heket provided the details of what she had in mind and made sure her brother didn't go nuts... If it was one thing Kallamar loved, it was the most beautiful and fancy things. The reason Rose wore dresses so often was because it was the norm back then. Kallamar got a pass to make the jewelry. Jewelry was always fancy looking no matter how simple they were because they were shiny!
Perhaps... making something for Ebany would make up for things... Ebany had hidden the lamb, cared for it, lost it to the Old Faith, got them back, was almost sacrificed, and was now their prisoner to keep her from running to the lamb... Considering The Burning was primarily caused by stress, anxiety, and built up emotions, it's no wonder Ebany got sick after a while. Plus, the situation in Noonveil was less than ideal...
The followers of the Cult of Pestilence were hard at work doing their chores, especially those with laundry duty and those that tailored clothing. Kallamar headed to the former first. The followers bowed to their master as he made his way through to who he was going to speak with and that was those in charge of laundry duty.
