Disclaimer: I do not own Cult of the Lamb or Warrior Cats by Erin Hunter. I am simply a fan of the game and the series. I was inspired by Jbrine061. Please check out her story. She is amazing. Now onto the story.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~A loud clash of thunder sounded and even made lightning flash in the room. Unfortunately... it also spooked the cats... Leshy practically caught Tion who jumped into his arms. Tion was shaking from the loud spook, having yelped once he clung to Leshy. Had he not been there, Tion would have jumped onto the ceiling again. Narinder flinched hard and was shaking, his ears were pinned to his skull as his eyes squeezed shut. Normally, he didn't fear thunderstorms because he was with Edan, but now he wasn't...
Shamura saw Narinder's reaction and immediately grew concerned and worried for him. Narinder's eyes were shut and he was trembling. Webber had been spooked as well and clung to Heket since she was the closest one to him. Heket felt him hug her, so she placed her hand on his back, comforting her nephew. Webber was normally a brave boy but he was still a child. Kallamar, on the other hand, snorted at the sight of Tion clinging to Leshy. It was like watching a scene of a comedic play. Tion's fur was standing and sticking up as he hugged Leshy who petted him.
Shamura put their hand on Narinder's shoulder, making the cat look up at him. Narinder was tearing up... "I think dinner is done. Why don't we go into the living room and wait out the storm?" Shamura hugged Narinder.
"Agreed." Heket looked at the three scared individuals. "Webber, you can finish your second dinner later, if you wish."
"I think I lost my appetite..." Webber had been started all right...
Shamura stood up with Narinder and went to the living room with him. They got him settled and wrapped him in a blanket they made. Narinder felt a little embarrassed. Webber stayed in the kitchen and helped Heket put away the left over food. Tion was pretty much carried into the living room by Leshy.
Kallamar followed his siblings to the living room, trying not to laugh and Tion and Narinder. Narinder saw the box on the table, but flinched and covered his ears and shook as another clap of thunder that sounded. "So what's your deal with thunder?" Kallamar asked.
"So loud and scary..." Tion whimpered as he buried his face in Leshy's chest.
Narinder didn't answer and only took a deep breath. Webber walked to them with Heket after having finished with the food and clearing the table. Heket picked up the box and placed it on the small table she had in the living room.
"The silence of the void...makes loud noises... difficult to deal with... It took a long while to be able to handle to mewling of the kittens you trapped there with me." Narinder spoke of Aym and Baal. Shamura had been the one to gift them to Narinder while in captivity. They were just little kittens then.
Kallamar opened his mouth to speak again, but he quickly closed it.
Shamura petted Narinder... "I apologize, Narinder... I allowed fear to control my actions... Perhaps if I had not, things may have been different..." The two had made up some time ago, but Shamura could never apologize enough to their little brother...
Heket watched them, having hoped and wished that things could have been different as well... They could have been a family for much longer and maybe all of them could have convinced Rose to remain alive.
"Change of subject... The box?" Shamura looked at the box on the little table.
"Hm? Oh... Open it." Narinder said.
Heket decided to do it. She walked to the box and opened it. Her eyes went wide as she saw the contents. Webber was the second to see them and had the same reaction. Tion calmed down enough to look over.
