The next morning, Narinder once again talked to Aym and Baal about their mother and what he wanted for them. Aym and Baal eventually understood what he meant, but it would be strange for them to be away from their master. It was like always having something or someone with you all the time. Having it leave, disappear, or just be gone one day will feel weird.

After breakfast, Edan headed over to Narinder's house to take the twins to Forneus. Before they left, Narinder gave them each a gift. He gave them a talisman each, which were styled to match. Baal's had a camellia flower attached and Aym's had a little skull that matched the clip on his robes. The twins couldn't be more grateful and bowed to Narinder. Yeah, they weren't giving that up anytime soon. Narinder hugged them both and saw them off. Edan waited for them along with Ebany. She had wanted to see Forneus and decided to tag along. She knew their mother too?!

After they departed from the Cult, Ebany explained to them how she met Forneus. She was one of the best people she knew and always helped her when things were tough. Forneus would always tell Ebany about them when she asked. Ebany told them that she had been keeping an eye out for the two, but wouldn't have thought to look in the realm of the dead... Baal once again paid attention to her expressions and she seemed genuine about it. Ebany had met their mother and knew her... From how she talked about her, they were close. As for what Forneus thought... she loved them dearly.

Aym and Baal shared a look. From what they heard, their mother loved them dearly and never gave up on them. The twins' memories of their mother were few and far between. They were just little kits when they were taken to Narinder. When they asked him about her, he would tell them. She was a follower of his as she allied with his vessels. There was a time Forneus was in a Cult in his name, but that was a time long past. The twins could always ask her more about those details. Right now, they hoped their master would be alright.

Forneus had set up shop in Darkwood and waited for customers. In the meantime, she got to work tailoring a few orders she had. The lamb occasionally came by to either buy something, chat, or have a cookie. She sometimes wrote letters to Ebany, wanting to know how she was. Ebany would write back and sometimes send pictures as well. And... Ebany may have sent her a picture or two of when Edan got turned into a baby. Forneus kept those hidden to save the lamb embarrassment. Forneus would happily admit that he was such a cute baby! The picture she had was of a sleeping Edan with his tongue sticking out! So cute!

A rustle from the plants caught her attention as she looked up. Perhaps it was a customer or someone to pick up an order. Maybe it was the lamb while he was on a crusade? What she didn't expect was for a puppy to come out of the foliage! The only puppy she knew of was Rune! Rune ran to Forneus, yipping away as she was happy to see her.

"Oh, Rune!" Forneus smiled brightly as she petted Rune. Rune wagged her tail as she got pets.

"There you are!" Ebany ran ahead after Rune had run off.

Forneus looked up and purred upon seeing Ebany. "Ebany! I knew you couldn't be far behind!"

"Hi Forneus!" Ebany walked over. "We came to visit and Rune beat us all to it!"

"We? Is the lamb with you?" Forneus asked.

"Yep. He and a few others kind of got ditched since I had to chase an inpatient little puppy." Ebany eyed her pup who only had a cute and innocent face on and yipped.
