Edan slowly aged little by little, still addressing Ratau as his father and Ebany as his big sister. Narinder stayed out of it all, not wanting to see the lamb at all. Edan would go back to normal the next day, hardly remembering the details. He had woken up with his head on Ratau's lap. Edan would ask what happened and Ratau asked what he remembered. Edan remembered reading the spell book and the a bright flash but that was it. Ebany had come in and saw that Edan was back to normal.

After sharing a look, Ratau and Ebany told the lamb what happened. Edan was nothing short of embarrassed. He hid his face in his fleece. Things would be so awkward for a while! Ratau told Edan how the Cult was doing and after a meal, it would be back to work. Ratau was definitely keeping the photo album Ebany made him! Edan checked on the Cult and once again returned to his duties. Every time he passed by Narinder, Edan would try to avoid the topic, much to Narinder's delight. Ebany had returned the blanket with a note thanking him for taking care of Edan. There was something he wondered... Edan used to be a very sickly child and asked if he got sick. Ebany and Ratau said that he didn't. They assumed the Red Crown protected him. That made sense.

Edan had been told by his parents that it would get pretty bad when he was sick as an infant. Once again, Narinder would never admit that Edan was an adorable baby... and super fluffy to boot... He would see the lamb doing his work and assigning him to menial tasks. At least the new hat he got blocked the sun and had openings for his ears. How long as it been now? Not too long, but for the lamb it's been longer. The feeling of jealousy still remained within the former god when he saw Ebany and Edan together. They got along well despite their difference in a lot of things. They respected each other's faiths for one... like Rose did with him and his siblings.

Narinder the wondered what would happen when the time came for Ebany to leave and depart from these lands... would she visit? How would she? Something he could ask the lamb later. Right now, the two were preparing to go on a joint crusade. The lamb wanted to show the phoenix some things and they would set off together. Why did Narinder care so much? The lamb betrayed him! But then he remembered the guilt that festered from the dream he had when the lamb was an infant...

So many deaths... many he did not order... all because his siblings feared that he would be free. Look where that got them. Narinder sighed and shook his head. He hadn't told the lamb about his nightmares, why should he? But the lamb brought him a change of clothes, several pairs of sleepwear... they were enchanted too. After using one to sleep, the tears stitched themselves together... At first he suspected Ebany of enchanted his clothes, as she was known to do, but it wasn't her.

After the age spell incident, Edan asked Ebany to teach him what not to do. When that was done, Edan was taught simple enchantments. His first try was on Narinder's clothes and it worked like a charm. Narinder overheard a conversation about the subject and found out that way. He wasn't going to thank him or anything! He shook his head and got back to his tasks. The sooner they were done, the sooner he could get to bed and away from the stupid sun! How Rose could stand it was beyond him!

Ebany followed Edan as they made their way through Darkwood. Even with Leshy dead, the realm was still beautiful, but dangerous... The siblings fought their way against enemies and followers of the Old Faith who deemed Ebany a traitor. She was never on the Bishop's side to begin with but the cultists thought otherwise. After several fights, they finally made it to one of their stops. Edan entered Kudaai's shop and greeted the owl. Kudaai welcomed Edan, offering to show the recent weapons he had made. There some good deals for them too!
