It was a normal Wednesday for the Ninja- Wake up, eat, change, go fight crime, and repeat. Mia had just woken up from her slumber when she heard a loud crash from the kitchen. Her ears immediately perked up, and without hesitation, she threw her blanket off, threw her slippers on, and ran to the kitchen. There, she scouted the area, to find.....

" Kai?!" She screeched. " What happened to your hair?!"

Kai, startled, turned to her with a sheepish smile.

" Yeah, um.... about that..." Kai stuttered.

" I'm waiting!" Mia said, tapping her foot impatiently.

" I was trying to... ahem... make pancakes for you guys." Kai said sheepishly.

Mia couldn't hide her smile. Kai, the fire ninja, was the only one who could make pancakes that go wrong. Of course he just couldn't wait for the pancakes to turn golden and just HAD to heat things up. A bit too much.

" Well, we appreciate the effort." Mia said, walking to him. " Why don't you go change and I'll clean up this mess and make them PROPERLY." Mia extended a hand, and helped Kai up.

" Yeah. I guess I should do that." Kai mumbled, walking out.

As soon as Mia knew Kai was gone, she raised her hands. Immediately, everything was put back to where it was before and the mess was cleaned.

" Woah! That was cool!" Jay awed, walking in with the mail.

" What can I say? Your little sister isn't called ' Jay's sister' anymore. I think."

" Nope. She's called, ' The cool Wind Ninja'. Get it? Cool?" Jay nudged Mia's hand, and she nudged it back.

" Anyway, what's in the mail?"

" Oh, nothing. Just fan mail, more fan mail, catalogues, and a letter for Wu." Jay said, skimming through the envelopes.

" Well, if there's fan mail, we should read them. Some might have some really important info for things." Then Mia paused. " It's also nice to read their stories the little kids write."

" Right. Well, what's for breakfast?"

Mia cleared her throat.

" Well, Kai.... TRIED to make pancakes, but..... things got a little.... too hot."

Jay laughed.

" Typical Brother- In- Law."

Mia glared at him.

" Really?! Why do you HAVE to call him that?! Give him a better nickname!"

Jay pondered for a minute.

" Okay! B.I.L. it is!"

" B. I. L?!" Mia was astonished. " That's gonna be hard to remember."

" No, it's not." Jay insisted.

Mia sighed. " Fine."

Just as Mia and Jay were about to continue their playful banter, the front door swung open, and Cole walked in, looking slightly disheveled and carrying a large grocery bag.

"Morning, guys," he greeted, setting the bag down on the counter. "What's all the commotion about?"

Mia and Jay exchanged a look before bursting into laughter. Cole raised an eyebrow, clearly confused.

"Kai tried to make pancakes," Mia explained, still chuckling.

Cole sighed. "Let me guess, the kitchen almost caught fire again?"

"Pretty much," Jay confirmed, shaking his head with a grin.

Cole looked around the now-spotless kitchen. "Well, it looks like you fixed it up already, Mia. Thanks for that."
