" These calls are off the roof!" Nya called, ending her tenth call that morning.

" You're telling me!" Kai replied, picking the phone up.

" Hi, this is Kai.... yes, the fire ninja.... yes, what did you need to tell me..... oh, really?" Kai's ears perked up, and he listened attentively. " Yes, I'll check it out. And, thank you. If your prediction is correct, I may be the happiest Fire ninja ever!" The person exchanged good byes with Kai, and he ended the phone. A wide smile spread on Kai's face.

" What? What happened?" Nya asked, turning to her big brother.

Kai turned to Nya, still smiling. " It was the commissioner."

" Yes, and?"

" They found a girl with red hair, unconscious on the beach. She seems to have elemental powers."

" What does that have to do?" Now Nya was getting impatient.

" Nya! Which elemental master has red hair?!" Kai was tapping his foot, waiting for her to answer.

" Skylar?!" Nya squeeked.

" Yes!"

Then, another call came on Kai's line, and the person confirmed Kai's assumption.

A jolt of excitement shot through Kai like a bolt of lightning. Skylar? Here? Unconscious? But why was she here? The questions tumbled through his mind, but one overrode them all: he had to see her.

He practically threw the phone back onto the receiver. "Skylar's back, Nya!" he exclaimed, the words tumbling out in a rush. "She's unconscious on the beach!"

Before Nya could even process the news, Kai was already halfway across the room. Clothes flew from drawers, a whirlwind of red, orange, and black. "Get Jay! Get Cole! We need to get to the beach, now!"

Nya blinked, scrambling to catch up with his whirlwind energy. "Wait, Kai, slow down! We don't even know the details yet. Besides, what about looking good?" she teased, gesturing at his rumpled clothes and messy hair.

Kai paused, glancing down at himself in a sliver of mirror. His usual swagger was replaced with a frantic energy. He ran a hand through his hair, a grimace twisting his features. "Right," he mumbled, the excitement warring with a sudden surge of self-consciousness. "Looking good."

He shot a pleading look at Nya. "Can you, uh, maybe...?"

Nya smirked. "Alright, alright, Mr. Impatient. But no promises on miracles." She grabbed a spare shirt and a brush, her teasing tone masking a warmth in her eyes.

Within minutes, Kai emerged, a far cry from his earlier disarray. His hair was tamed (somewhat), a fresh shirt hugged his frame, and a flicker of his usual confidence returned. It wasn't perfect, but it would have to do.

"Alright, let's go see Skylar," Nya said, a hint of a smile playing on her lips.

As they exited the Monestary gates, Nya remembered something.

" Kai! Jay and Cole!" She huffed, lagging a but behind Kai.

"Right, gotta get the team," Kai agreed, his voice regaining some composure. He snatched his phone back up, his fingers flying across the screen as he dialed a familiar number.

"Jay, it's Kai! We have an emergency - Skylar's back!" He explained the situation in a rapid burst, barely pausing for breath. "We need you and Cole at the beach, now! She's unconscious!"

Before ending the call, he quickly dialed another number. "Cole, it's Kai. Drop what you're doing and meet us at the beach - Skylar's back, and..." He repeated the details, his voice urgent but tinged with a tremor of worry. "We need to get there fast."

Hanging up, he turned to Nya, his eyes filled with a mix of apprehension and hope. "There. Team's on their way." He took a deep breath, trying to calm the whirlwind of emotions swirling inside him. "Let's go."

Nya nodded, a determined glint in her eyes. "Let's bring Skylar home."
