As the vehicle continued down the winding road towards their vacation destination, the mood inside was light and filled with anticipation. The scenery outside shifted from the familiar urban landscape of Ninjago City to the lush greenery of the countryside, signaling that they were getting closer to their retreat.

Jay, bubbling with excitement, glanced at everyone around him. "This is gonna be awesome! I can't wait to hit the beach and build the biggest sandcastle!"

Kai chuckled, leaning back in his seat. "And I'm looking forward to some good old-fashioned relaxation. Maybe even a bonfire at night."

Nya flipped through the brochure she was holding, her enthusiasm barely contained. "There's so much to do! Hiking trails, a swimming pool, and even a hot spring! We'll have a blast."

Cole, still pressed against the window, couldn't help but smile. "I'm just amazed Master Wu actually gave us the green light to take a break. Usually, he's all about training and being prepared."

"Yeah," Jay said, turning to look at his little sister, Mia, who was fast asleep in the back seat. "But not everyone was thrilled about it. Mia really wanted to stay back and keep an eye on Ninjago. She's been so serious lately."

Lloyd, who was at the wheel, nodded thoughtfully as he made another turn. "We all needed this trip. Even Mia, whether she realizes it or not. She's been carrying a lot on her shoulders."

Zane's eyes flashed as he analyzed the situation. "Indeed. Lloyd's assessment is accurate. The emotional and physical toll on us all has been significant. A period of rest and recovery is necessary to maintain our efficiency as a team."

In the back, Mia stirred slightly in her sleep, clutching her stuffed orca and teddy bear tighter as she rolled over. Her pet cat, Blackie, who had been comfortably lounging on her, found himself unceremoniously jostled.

"Yeesh, would you please stop moving?" Blackie muttered in his usual sassy tone, trying to regain his balance on her.

Mia, in her sleep, instinctively reached out and pulled Blackie closer, hugging him like one of her plush toys. The cat, now trapped in her embrace, gave her a half-hearted glare, his green eyes narrowing in mild annoyance.

"I didn't mean it like this!" he grumbled, squirming a bit as he tried to free himself. But Mia only nestled him closer, burying her face in his soft fur.

Blackie rolled his eyes, his initial irritation melting away as he realized he wasn't going anywhere. "Okay, I suppose this is quite comfortable," he conceded, finally giving in to the warmth and comfort of Mia's embrace.

The others shared a quiet smile as they glanced back at Mia and Blackie. Despite her initial reluctance, it seemed like Mia was starting to unwind, even if she was still holding onto some of her usual concerns.

"We're really gonna have a great time," Jay said softly, more to himself than anyone else, as the vehicle continued towards their destination. The team was ready for a break, and this vacation promised to be just what they all needed.

As the peaceful ride continued, Mia began to stir more restlessly in her sleep. Blackie, still nestled in her arms, noticed the change and perked up, his golden eyes filled with concern.

Mia started mumbling incoherently, her voice tinged with distress. "No... don't go... don't leave me alone..."

Blackie's ears twitched as he listened, his worry growing. "Mia?" he called softly, hoping to soothe her.

But Mia's mumbling soon escalated into panicked words. "No! Please! My brother... Jay... no!"

Tears started streaming down her cheeks, and before anyone could react, she jolted awake, her eyes wide and filled with terror. She sat up abruptly, clutching Blackie even tighter. "MY BROTHER IS DEAD!" she screamed, her voice breaking. "THE OVERLORD KILLED HIM!"
