" Sorry!" Four year old Mia exclaimed as she bumped into Kai while holding books. They slipped, and one slid onto Kai's foot.

" Sorry!* She quickly tried to collect them, but they would keep falling.

" I'm so sorry, Kai!"

Kai raised a brow. " Mia, it's fine.*

Mia nodded, but it was clear she wasn't listening.

" I'll help clean." Kai dropped to his knees, and helped his sister collect the books.

" Thanks." Mia said, quickly running away.

Kai raised a brow but didn't question. He went outside to his bestie, who said, " we only have enough water for a day.*

" Uh.. uhm... How about Nya? She can bring water from the ground!"

" In this heat? Low humidity? I don't think so."

Lloyd walked out just as Cole and Kai turned to their third buddy.

" Jay, what are you doing?" Kai asked.

" Carving a message on this rock, so they know who we are when they find out bo-ho-hones."

" Can we try to be a little optimistic, please?" Lloyd asked.

" I am afraid there is little cause for optimum." Zane said as he came from around the corner. " Our situation is dire. The engine will not start withohr the thermovetic inverter

" What ?" Cole asked

" It is a component that is needed to start the engine."

" So we're gonna be castaways?" A small, teary voice asked.

" What?!" Jay ran to his sister and hugged her. " No, no, sweetie. We're not gonna become castaways!"

* That's what you said last time."

Jay let out a nervous chuckle. " Yeah, I wasn't really in the.... Best state of mind."

Jay lifted Mia into his arms, carrying her outside while the others remained engaged in their discussion. He took her to a quieter spot away from the group's worried chatter, trying to distract her from the seriousness of their situation.

Once outside, Jay gently set her down and started to pace, clearly frustrated. He grumbled under his breath, kicking a rock that lay in the sand. The rock skidded across the ground before coming to a stop.

Mia, observing Jay’s irritation, watched quietly. “Jay, are we really gonna be stuck here?”

Jay stopped pacing and looked at her, his face softening. “I don’t know, sweetie. We’re doing everything we can to fix this. We just have to stay positive.”

Mia bit her lip, not entirely reassured but nodding nonetheless. Jay crouched down to her level, trying to give her a reassuring smile. “We’ll figure this out. I promise.”

Mia clung to him, finding comfort in his presence. Jay patted her back gently, feeling the weight of the situation but determined to keep up a brave front for her sake.

The part where Jay grumbles off and gets almost eaten by Beohermie is like that.

Everyone except Mia sat before the fire.

" I see no other option." Zane said. " We must retrieve the inverter."

Suddenly, they heard a yell. Jay looked inside the bounty.

" Mia!" He dropped everything and ran inside, to see her in a blanket, rocking like crazy.

" Mimi, what happened?" Jay asked, sitting next to her.
