Mia was knitting a sweater for her four little balls of joy. She had created a fiery red one, a soothing blue, and a bumble bee pattern.

Now, she was making a pink one, with red stripes. She selected the red yarn and started to knit when she heard some noises - a scream, yells, and silence.

Mia didn't think of it much until she heard hurried shows pittering on the floor. She looked up, and saw a distressed Samantha.

" Uncle Jay just fainted!" She yelled. " And he's blue!"

Mia set her knitting aside and followed her daughter to the kitchen.

Stevie and Fireball were fanning Jay, while Swallowtail was trying to hail him to the couch.

" What happened?!" Mia exclaimed, running to her brother and holding his hand.

" We don't know. One minute he's fine, drinking lemonade, the next he's like this!" Swallowtail said in a small voice.

Mia looked up. " Can you bring me it?" She asked.

Swallowtail nodded and ran to the kitchen, returning with the bottle. Mia took it and read it.

" Huh... This is the exact same we always get." She muttered.

Then, she shook her head. " Everyone, to the car! We have to rush him to the hospital!"

The kids obeyed, running to the elevator and going down to the control room, where Mia helped strap Jay in securely and strap the others in.

" Ready?" Mia asked, revving the engine.

" Ready!" The others yelled.

Mia zoomed out of the garage and swerved a lot.

" Mom, could you consider, oh, I don't know, going on the road?" Samantha squeaked.

" Sorry, no can do."

Swallowtail took her bag off and opened it. " Should I put an ice pack on Uncle Jay?"

Mia nodded. " Yes."

Samantha took her bag out. " And should I put this weird stick with numbers in his mouth?"

" The thermometer? Yes."

Swallowtail gently placed the ice pack on Jay's forehead while Samantha carefully inserted the thermometer under his tongue. The car swerved sharply as Mia took a tight corner, making the kids clutch their seats and brace themselves.

"Aunt Mia, I think we're going to get there in record time," Fireball said, gripping the door handle tightly.

"That's the plan," Mia replied, eyes focused on the road ahead.

As they raced through the city, the thermometer beeped, and Samantha pulled it out, reading the numbers. "It's really high, Mom. Uncle Jay's temperature is 104 degrees."

Mia's face tightened with worry. "Hang in there, Jay. We're almost there."

The hospital finally came into view, and Mia screeched to a halt at the emergency entrance.

Unfortunately, it was closed, due to maintenance.

" What are we gonna do now?" Stevie asked.

Mia sighed. " There's another one in another city. But it's gonna be a while until we reach there."

Mia sighed and turned the car around, heading toward the next nearest hospital. "Alright, everyone, buckle up. It's going to be a bit of a drive."

As they sped out of the parking lot, Swallowtail rummaged through her bag and pulled out a stethoscope. Samantha, Stevie, and Fireball looked at it in surprise.
