Blackie, even the self-proclaimed king, seemed taken aback. He let out a surprised yelp, a flicker of concern replacing his usual arrogance. "Uh, Mia?" he meowed hesitantly. "Maybe we can be a little nicer? They're worried about you."Another tense silence followed, broken only by the soft crackling of the communicator. Then, Mia's voice, softer this time but still laced with a deep sadness, filled the air.
"Sorry, Blackie," she said. "I can't. Because if you were a ninja, you would realize the others… they are people. You can't trust them."
A wave of shock and hurt washed over the group. Jay felt a lump rise in his throat. Mia, his sister, the girl who would never hurt a fly, saw them as untrustworthy? What had happened to make her feel this way?
"Mia, that's not true!" Lloyd exclaimed, his voice trembling with a mix of anger and concern. "We care about you! We just want to help!"
But there was no response. The communicator went silent, leaving them hanging with a chilling realization. Mia didn't trust them. And whatever was going on in Australia, it was serious enough to make her flee across the world, believing her own brother and friends were a threat.
Master Wu, ever the voice of reason, spoke up, his voice calm but firm. "We need to understand why Mia feels this way. There's a reason behind her fear and mistrust."
Nya nodded grimly. "We can't force her to trust us again, but we can try to show her that we're here for her, no matter what."
Jay, his initial anger replaced by a deep resolve, looked at Blackie, who was staring intently at the communicator.
"Blackie," he said, his voice low but determined, "we need to get to Mia. We need to find a way to Australia and talk to her, face-to-face."
Blackie looked at him for a long moment, then sighed and said, " No can do. My owner called you ' animals', and that means if you guys go there now you'll be finished."
Disbelief washed over Jay, a cold dread settling in his stomach. "Finished?" he echoed, his voice barely a whisper. "What do you mean finished?"
Blackie's emerald eyes narrowed. "Your sister, Mia," he began, his voice surprisingly serious, "she called you animals. And not in a playful way. She meant it with a coldness that chilled even my fur."
"But why?" Nya demanded, her voice tight with frustration. "What happened? We just want to help her!"
Blackie let out a frustrated meow. "That's the problem, isn't it? She doesn't want your help. She's scared, and for some reason, she believes you're a threat."
A heavy silence descended upon the room. The weight of Mia's words hung in the air, a poisonous barb that pierced their hearts. They were ninjas, protectors, yet their own sister saw them as enemies.
"So, what do we do?" Kai finally asked, his voice laced with helplessness. "We can't just leave her there, alone and afraid."
Blackie hopped off the table, pacing restlessly. "There has to be another way," he muttered, more to himself than to them. He glanced at the communicator, then back at Jay.
"Listen," he said, his voice low, "going to Australia now is too risky. Mia clearly doesn't want you around, and whoever she's with… well, let's just say they're not exactly welcoming to outsiders."
A flicker of anger sparked in Jay's eyes. "Who are they? What are they doing to Mia?"
Blackie shook his head. "I can't tell you. But I do know this – we need a new plan. A way to reach Mia, to show her we care, without putting her or ourselves in immediate danger."
Nya, ever the strategist, stepped forward. "Blackie's right. A frontal assault won't work. We need to be… subtle. Maybe there's a way to contact her indirectly, to send a message that shows we understand her fear but that we're still here for her, no matter what."
Cole, usually the muscle, surprised them all with a thoughtful suggestion. "What if we use the communication network? Send a coded message through our ninja allies, something only Mia would understand. A message that reassures her we're not a threat, that we just want to talk."
A spark of hope ignited in Jay's eyes. This was a plan he could get behind. A coded message, a bridge of trust built from afar. It wouldn't be easy, but it was their best shot at reaching Mia and unraveling the mystery that had driven her so far away.
"Alright," Jay declared, his voice firm with newfound resolve. "Let's do this. We'll send a message, a message that says we love her, that we miss her, and that the door is always open if she wants to come home." He looked at Blackie, a silent plea in his eyes. "And Blackie, keep an eye on her. Keep us updated on anything you can learn."
Blackie, for the first time, seemed to understand the gravity of the situation. He met Jay's gaze with a solemn nod. "For Mia," he meowed, a flicker of loyalty shining in his emerald eyes.

A wave of disappointment washed over the group as silence stretched from the communicator. Their coded message, a heartfelt plea for Mia's return, had gone unanswered. The tension in the room was thick enough to cut with a sword.
"Maybe she didn't get it," Lloyd mumbled, his voice laced with worry.
"Or maybe..." Nya began, but trailed off, her brow furrowed in concern.
Suddenly, the communicator crackled back to life. Blackie perked up, his ears twitching. A soft voice, filled with a warmth reserved only for Blackie, filled the room.
"Don't worry, my baby boy," Mia said, her tone a stark contrast to the coldness she'd directed at the others. "I got your message. I'm coming home. Meet me at the 'place' soon, okay?"
Blackie let out a small purr, seemingly pacified by her words. However, a flicker of suspicion crossed Jay's eyes. The sweetness in Mia's voice felt… off, especially juxtaposed with the coded message she blatantly ignored.
"The place?" Blackie pressed, his feline curiosity piqued. "You mean the usual spot?"
Mia giggled, a sound that sent shivers down Jay's spine. "Yes, silly. The usual place. Now, is this… on speaker?"
Blackie hesitated for a beat, then let out a nervous meow. "Uh, yeah."
A beat of silence followed, then Mia's voice, now booming through the room, spoke in a deceptively sweet tone. "I love you, my baby boy," she declared.
Then, in a chillingly cold voice, a voice that sent a jolt of fear through them all, she added, "And I hate you, ninja."
The communicator went dead, leaving an eerie silence in its wake. Jay felt a cold dread grip his heart. The message was clear – Mia was coming back, but not for the reasons they'd hoped. The love was directed solely at Blackie, and the venom in her voice towards the ninja was unmistakable.
"What was that place she mentioned?" Kai demanded, his voice tight with a mix of anger and fear.
Blackie, his fur bristling, looked at them with a conflicted expression. He loved Mia, fiercely so, but the hatred she directed at the ninja was a growing concern. He couldn't betray her trust, but he also couldn't stand by and let her walk into danger.
"It's just a place," he mumbled, his voice strained. "A place we used to go to sometimes."
The others exchanged skeptical glances. It was obvious Blackie was hiding something, but they also understood his loyalty to Mia. Forcing the information wouldn't help. They needed a plan, a way to intercept Mia before she reached this mysterious "place" and whatever danger awaited her there.
"We need to figure out where this place is," Nya said, her voice firm with resolve. "And we need to get there before Mia does."
" NO!" Blackie yelled.
Everyone turned to him.
" Why 'no', Blackie?" Jay asked gently.
Blackie hissed. " Because it's a very safe place. Very. And Mia wants to kill you all."
