PS. Yes, I do call Jay and Nya husband and Wife. I don't know why. I just like it.

Nya sat in the waiting room, her hands fidgeting nervously in her lap. The normally composed and fierce Water Ninja felt out of place here, her heart racing as she tried to keep her anxiety at bay. The soft hum of the overhead lights and the distant sound of shuffling papers did little to calm her nerves. She was the only one there, and the emptiness of the room only amplified her worries.

She wasn't used to feeling this way-this sense of vulnerability. But today, she couldn't shake it. Something about being here made her feel small, like all the strength she usually possessed had been sapped away.

Suddenly, the door to the back opened, and she heard a familiar voice call her name. "Nya?"

She froze, her heart skipping a beat. It was Jay. She hadn't expected him to be here, and now that he was, a mix of relief and worry flooded her senses. She couldn't bring herself to move, her feet glued to the spot as her mind raced.

Jay, seeing his wife sitting there, her face pale and her eyes wide with anxiety, felt a surge of concern. He was surprised to see her-Nya, the fierce, fearless woman he adored-looking so out of sorts. Without a second thought, he hurried over to her, his voice filled with worry as he called out, "Oh my goodness, Nya!"

He reached her in seconds, wrapping her in a warm, tight hug. The instant his arms encircled her, Nya felt some of the tension melt away, but she couldn't shake the lingering fear that had brought her here.

"Nya," Jay murmured, his voice soft and soothing as he held her close. "What's going on? Why are you here?"

Nya couldn't speak at first, just buried her face in his shoulder, taking in his familiar scent-one that always made her feel safe. She whimpered, her body trembling slightly as she tried to find the words.

Jay pulled back slightly, his hands gently cradling her face as he looked into her eyes, worry etched across his features. "Hey, it's okay. Whatever it is, we'll figure it out together."

Seeing how distressed she was, Jay led her over to a nearby couch, guiding her to sit down. He sat beside her, keeping his arm around her shoulders, and pulled her into another hug, hoping to give her the comfort she so clearly needed.

Nya leaned into him, letting out a shaky breath as she finally allowed herself to relax a little in his embrace. She felt his hand stroking her hair, a familiar gesture that always made her feel loved and protected.

"I... I don't know why I'm so scared," Nya whispered, her voice barely audible. "I just... I felt like I needed to be here, but now I don't know what to do."

Jay's heart ached seeing her like this. Nya was always so strong, so in control. Seeing her vulnerable like this made him want to do everything he could to ease her fears. "It's okay to be scared, Nya. You don't have to be strong all the time. I'm here, and I'll help you through whatever this is."

Nya whimpered again, feeling tears prick at the corners of her eyes. She hated feeling like this, but with Jay holding her, it didn't seem quite so overwhelming. "I just... I don't know what's wrong with me, Jay."

Jay tightened his embrace, resting his cheek against her hair. "There's nothing wrong with you, Nya. We all have moments when we feel this way. You don't have to go through it alone, okay?"

Nya nodded against him, her grip on his shirt tightening as she let herself draw strength from his presence. "Okay..."

They sat like that for a while, the quiet of the waiting room wrapping around them as Jay held her close, offering silent reassurance. He didn't push her to talk more, knowing that sometimes, just being there was enough. Eventually, Nya's breathing steadied, and the tension in her body began to ease.
