Mia was at the counter, making Christmas ornaments using her Cricket Joy ( more about that in the link). She had made her and the Ninja's. She was finishing Blackie's and Wu's.
She unloaded the mat from the machine, weeded the vinyl, got transparent tape, and transferred them to a 3.5 inch disc each.
" Blackie!" She called in a sing-song voice. " I'm done!"
Blackie strolled into the room, his tail flickering with disgust.
" Ugh, you should be grateful you're not in the living room. Kai doesn't know what to do with the lights, so he keeps flinging them to the tree, thinking it's gonna make itself like in shows." He meowed.
Mia laughed. " Only my favorite brother in law could do that!"
" But he's your ONLY brother in law." Blackie replied.
" Yeah, but it's still fun to say that. Anyway, look what I made you!" Mia showed him a disc of a black cat with the name ' Blackie's engraved in the middle.
" It's nice." Blackie said, rubbing his body against it.
Mia laughed and picked him up. " No matter what, you're always the same." She said, rubbing her face in his.
" It's nothing, really." Blackie shrugged, but Mia could tell he was really touched by the way he purred.
Then, they heard a yell from the living room. Suprised, Blackie jumped out of Mia's lap and almost hit the wall. Luckily, Mia's quick reflexes made a cloud for Blackie to sit on while he drifted back into Mia's arms, safe.
" What was that?" Blackie asked, jumping into Mia's bag.
" Dunno. But we're gonna find out."
Mia walked to the living room, to find Kai jumbled in lights, and handing upside down.
" Uh, help?" Kai asked, waving his arms like crazy. " I don't like seeing things upside down."
Mia laughed, shook her head, and conjured a gentle breeze to set him back in his feet, safe in the ground.
" Thanks. Now, you wouldn't mind if you could help me with the lights, would you?"
Mia shrugged. " Why not."
Summoning the same amount of wind used to help Kai, she soon set the lights in a beautiful pattern ( diagonally set).
" Wow, that looks nice!" Cole said, bringing the other ornaments.
" Oh, I almost forgot. I made new decorations this year." Mia used her wind and brought all nine of the newly made ornaments to the living room and hung them on the tree.
The living room glowed warmly as the newly made ornaments hung on the tree, each one reflecting Mia's creativity and love. The tree sparkled with the lights that Mia had beautifully arranged, creating a magical atmosphere.
Jay walked in, carrying a tray of hot cocoa. "Hey, what did I miss?" he asked, noticing the change in the room.
Kai, now untangled from the lights, smiled at Jay. "Mia worked her magic again. The lights look amazing, and she made new ornaments for everyone."
Jay's eyes widened in appreciation as he saw the ornaments. "Wow, Mia, these are incredible! You really outdid yourself this year."
Mia blushed and smiled shyly. "Thanks, Jay. I'm glad you like them. Here, this one is yours," she said, pointing to an ornament featuring a lightning bolt with Jay's name on it.
Jay took a closer look and grinned. "It's perfect! Thanks, Mia."
Mia handed out the ornaments to everyone. "Kai, this one's for you," she said, giving him an ornament with a fiery design. "And Cole, here's yours," she added, handing him one with a rock texture.
