One dropping of water and laughs later.....

In the ring box, along with the ring, Mia found a note that read "Kitchen. But warning, it talks." Mia's eyes widened in surprise as she looked around, wondering what could be talking in the kitchen.

As they walked to the kitchen, Mia and Nelson exchanged excited glances. Jay followed behind them, still a bit stunned but curious about what awaited them next.

When they entered the kitchen, they found a small black kitten sitting on the counter, eyeing them with a mischievous gleam in its eyes. It was Blackie, or rather, a kitten version of Blackie, with the same sassy attitude.

Mia gasped. "Blackie! You can talk?"

The kitten meowed indignantly, as if insulted by the question. "Of course, I can talk. I've been waiting for this moment to surprise you!"

Nelson chuckled, amused by the tiny talking kitten. "Well, hello there, Blackie."

Blackie flicked his tail and continued, "I have a message for you, Mia. But first, where's my treat? A cat can't work on an empty stomach, you know."

Mia giggled and reached for a treat, placing it on the counter for Blackie. "There you go, Blackie. Now, what's the message?"

Blackie licked his lips and then meowed dramatically, "The path to your next surprise lies in the garden, under the old oak tree. Go and find it, Mia!"

Excitement bubbled up in Mia's chest. "To the garden!" she exclaimed, grabbing Nelson's hand and running outside.

Jay stayed behind, shaking his head in amazement at the unexpected turn of events. "Talking kittens... what next?" He chuckled to himself, following Mia and Nelson out to the garden where more surprises awaited on Mia's special day.

Blackie followed Mia eagerly as she led the way to the garden. There, amidst the greenery and under the shade of the old oak tree, Mia found her parents' and grandparents' gifts waiting for her.

On the ground, there was an instant camera and a whimsical cat-shaped lamp, both gifts capturing Mia's love for photography and cats. Mia squealed with delight, hugging the camera to her chest and admiring the lamp.

Jay approached Mia with a small box in his hand. "Mia, I got you something too," he said with a smile.

Mia looked up, her eyes bright with curiosity. She opened the box to find a beautiful bracelet, its design matching the collar that Blackie wore around his neck.

"Oh, Jay, it's perfect!" Mia exclaimed, slipping the bracelet onto her wrist. "Thank you!"

Jay ruffled Mia's hair affectionately. "Happy birthday, Mimi. I'm glad you liked it."

Mia hugged Jay tightly, feeling overwhelmed with happiness. "I love all my gifts! Thank you, everyone!"

Her parents and grandparents smiled warmly as they entered the clearing, happy to see Mia so joyful on her special day. They spent the rest of the afternoon in the garden, taking photos with the instant camera, admiring the cat lamp's soft glow as dusk fell, and enjoying each other's company.

As the sun set, Mia knew it had been the best birthday ever, filled with surprises, love, and laughter. She couldn't wait to see what adventures the future held, especially now that she had a talking kitten and a promise of a wedding.
