Mia was on the toilet, quietly writing her thoughts in her diary.

It's so hectic these days, she wrote, that he doesn't have time to spend any time with me!

Suddenly, there was a knock.

" Mia?" Jay asked. " Are you okay?"

" Huh?!" Mia yelled, jumping. " Uh, yeah! Be right out!"

She flushed and stuff, and thought about her excuse while washing her hands.

" I accidntly slept." She said as she walked out.

Jay gave her a look but let it pass.

As the sun shone brightly over the pool, the Ninja enjoyed their day off, splashing and playing. The water was inviting, and their laughter filled the air. Mia, however, was lost in her thoughts, her mind drifting as she sat quietly on the edge of the pool, the cool water lapping at her toes.

The Seastar position Mia had adopted was one she used when she needed to focus or reflect. Her gaze was distant, barely registering the chaotic fun happening around her. She noticed splashes, the occasional ball sailing through the air, and Kai leaping into the pool with a triumphant shout, but none of it really penetrated her thoughts.

"Hey, is Mia okay?" Lloyd asked as he caught the ball and tossed it to Kai, who was now engaged in a playful water fight with Cole.

Everyone turned to look at Mia. She was sitting with her legs stretched out, her arms resting by her sides. The others exchanged glances, noticing her disconnection from the fun.

“I don’t know,” Jay said, his voice tinged with concern as he ran a hand through his damp hair. “She was in the bathroom for hours earlier today. When I asked her about it, she said she’d accidentally fallen asleep.”

“Should we snap her out of it?” Kai asked, his voice laced with a mix of curiosity and concern.

Jay shook his head, a soft, knowing smile on his lips. “Leave her. She’ll come out on her own.”

As if on cue, Mia blinked and slowly became aware of her surroundings. The sounds of splashing and laughter began to filter back into her consciousness. She shifted her position and looked around, finally noticing the curious glances from her friends.

“Hey,” Jay said gently as he approached her. “Everything okay?”

Mia forced a smile, though it was clear she was still lost in her thoughts. “Yeah, I’m fine. Just thinking.”

Jay nodded, understanding that Mia sometimes needed space to process her feelings. He didn’t push her further and instead, turned back to the group. “If you need anything, just let us know,” he added before joining the others in the water.

Mia watched him go, feeling a twinge of gratitude.

" I'll come later!" She shouted, stepping out and rinsing herself with water before using her wind to dry.

Jay gave her a quick thumbs up before diving in with the others.

Mia sighed and walked to her room,.where she changed into comfortable clothes and sat on her bed, laptop in hand.

Blackie, on que, came strolling through. " Hello, madam," he said, adopting a British accent. " How are you?"

I'm not making fun of British, Promise! I was taught in a British school!

Mia giggled. " Good, thank you, sir."

" You are welcome." Then, switching back to his usual accent, hopped to Mia's lap and curled in it. Mia smiled and stroked his fur, earning a room full of purrs.
