( I wrote this two years ago so don't judge)
" This goes here.... And that there.... Oh! I still need to clean the mussels." Mia turned to the door, opened it, and there laid two large buckets, filled with water and mussels.
" Time to clean them!" Mia stretched, sat down, and lifted two clothes from the shelf and laid them next to her. She lifted a mussel from the water, dried it, and sent it to a basket on the other side of the courtyard.
" I should really bring that closer to me." Mia mumbled, levitating it in the air and setting it down in front of her. She lifted the mussel, dried it, and set it down in the bucket. That's the way she cleaned her beach treasures.
It was peaceful. Birds chirped from the trees outside the wall, cherry blossoms floated in, giving off a wonderful aroma.
Then, it broke. Steps were pacing. Closer and closer came the pace of feet clinking the ground.
Clinking the ground? Mia looked up from her shells. That sounded like..... Metal.
There were only two people Mia knew that had metal feet- Zane and Pixel.
" Mia, speed up!" A voice called from behind Mia. A voice Mia knew all too well. Zane's.
Mia turned to face his metallic face.
" What's the situation?" She asked.
" It's Jay. We located him."
Mia's body shot up, her eyes gleaming with joy.
" You found him? Where is he? How is he? Where did you find him?"
Zane looked expressionless. He didn't speak.
" Oh, come on!" Mia exclaimed, her arms shooting up in exasperation. "Please tell me your sensors aren't acting up again! I need to know where he is and how he is doing!"
"No, nothing is wrong with my sensors. I'm doing fine. Simply put...... Jay has lost his memories."
Mia stared at Zane, then burst out laughing.
" I think I missed something." Mia said between fits of laughter. " There's no way my brother lost his memory."
Zane stared at Mia's face, and she stopped laughing.
" You're serious?"
Zane nodded.
" What? How? Where? Who did this?"
" Mia, calm down. Jay is being returned to the monastery and seems to be fine."
" Fine? FINE? He's lost his memory and you're telling me he's FINE?" Mia frantically fumbled with the buttons of her jacket and ran past Zane.
" Where are you going?" He asked.
" Finding my brother. If he's lost his memory, he's gonna remember. Even if I have to drill it into his thick brain."
" Please do not do that. Lloyd did that-"
" When you were the ice king, evil. Yes, I know. Jay told me the story. A month ago."
Mia hurried through the monastery, her mind racing with thoughts of her brother. She couldn't shake the image of Jay, confused and disoriented, his memories lost somewhere in the vast expanse of his mind. She had to find him, to bring him back, no matter what it took.
As she rounded a corner, Mia nearly collided with Lloyd, who was heading in the opposite direction. His green eyes widened in surprise as he caught sight of her.
