Jay panted furiously as he ran. It was his fault, they blamed him.
And now, he was not gonna go back.

Mia was drawing the ninja, black and white. She really didn't like to add color- that was Jay and Kai's job.
And Kai would surely be impressed with the fact she made a good him.
Just then, Kai came in. He looked quite fearful.
" Jay's run away!"
Mia's breath hitched. She pulled her phone out and dialed the Commissioner.
" Commissioner? The lightning ninja is loose in the city! Could you please find him?"
The Commissioner sighed. " Okay, but... where was the last sighing?"
Mia looked at Kai. " The battle scene of the latest crime."
Mia relayed this information, and the Commissioner replied, " Well, it's a large city, so-"
" large city?!" Mia retorted. " You are the Commissioner of Ninjago! Surely, you can find him in less than two hours"!
The Commissioner sputtered, but Mia continued.
" Play the bagpipes!"
" I... uh.... don't know how to play the bagpipes."
Mia sighed.
" The flute?"
" No."
" The Sax?"
" No....?"
Mia sighed. " Can you at least bang drums?"
The Commissioner nodded. " Yeah, but-"
" Just do that!"
Without waiting for a response, Mia grabbed Kai and pulled him outside, where she counjered a cloud and pulled Kai on it.
"This is really high, Mia," Kai muttered, trying to keep his cool. "I don't like heights without something solid under my feet."
Mia, focused on finding Jay, barely noticed his discomfort. "We'll find him faster this way. Just hold on."
Suddenly, an awful, discordant sound echoed through the air. It was a strange mix of banging, clanging, and what could only be described as tortured cat sounds. Kai cringed, covering his ears. "What is that?"
Mia squinted, trying to locate the source of the noise. "That... must be the Commissioner. He's trying to play drums, I guess?"
As they flew closer, they spotted the Commissioner standing in the middle of a city square, banging on a drum set that looked like it had been hastily put together. Several people had gathered around, watching in confusion as he pounded away, clearly unsure of what he was doing. The Commissioner's attempts at rhythm were as disastrous as they were loud.
The other ninja, who had arrived on the scene, were trying to talk to the Commissioner, but it was impossible to hear anything over the cacophony. Cole, who was closest to the Commissioner, was waving his arms frantically, trying to get his attention.
"Commissioner!" Cole shouted, his voice barely audible over the noise. "We need to talk!"
The Commissioner, focused on his task, didn't seem to notice. He was too engrossed in his drumming, which had now drawn a small, bewildered crowd. Zane, ever the problem solver, tried a different approach. He leaned in close to the Commissioner and spoke directly into his ear. "Commissioner, we appreciate your efforts, but perhaps we could find a more effective way to locate Jay?"
