Once Upon a Lighthouse

Once upon a time, seven ninja were trapped in a tower.....

.... Okay, they weren't really ' trapped' per se. 

And it was a  lighthouse, not tower.

They were staying in the lighthouse because there were repairs to be made.

Also the mayor let them, as a reward for being so heroic.

And it was their day off.

" I'll go repair the lighthouse light." Zane offered. " I recall the mayor saying it needed fixing."

" Me and Lloyd will take first shift, to make sure they're aren't any animals that need rescuing." Mia said, stepping forward with her binoculars.

Jay nodded. " Okay. Then Me, Kai, and Cole will go to the bedroom and set things up."

" And I'll see what little we can salvage." Nya huffed, walking to the kitchen.

They nodded, and parted ways. The unfortunate escape room trio walked up the stairs and to a door that said, ' Bedroom'. With shaky hands, Jay opened it, and his hand went for the light switch. 

As they went in, they saw dust bunnies and cobwebs everywhere, along with a dirty cloth covering the couch.

" Ew. The mayor sure seems like she doesn't know how to keep a lighthouse intact."

Cole found a broom and started sweeping the floor, while Kai unveiled the couch. " Oh, come on. It's a but charming."

Jay coughed and waved his arm. " Yeah, charming."

Then, he went to the window and opened it. " This place gives me the creeps."

Then, he picked up a duster, and went to dust the closet.

He heard a sound. He put his ear to the closet.

A faint, whooshing sound came.

He went to the end of the furniture and grunted as he tried to move it. Cole and Kai ran to him, and together they pushed it aside.

Behind it was a while new room! Kai lit his hands on fire, and they saw a book on a table. Jay rushed to it, and the other two stood beside him.

" Woah!" Jay exclaimed as he peeked into the book. Then, he saw the other two, and quickly closed it. " No spoilers."

" The full moon awakens the mustard- I mean monster." He looked up at the others, who were giving him a weird look as they ate the pizza. " Sorry, it's so dirty."

Then, Mia came in with Lloyd. " We just rescued a few turtles." Mia informed. " They were scared of the beach, so we took them in."

" I think I know what scared them!" Jay exclaimed excitedly. " It's a sea monster!" He opened the book, and continued, " I found this old lighthouse keeper book, and it says the first sign of sea monster is scared marine life."

Mia raised a brow. " Turtles are scared of lots of things. Bubbles, bright lights-"

Suddenly, the ground shook, and the lights flickered. Mia ran to Jay and clutched his leg tightly. When the power came back in, Lloyd was holding Kai, and Cole was sitting next to them.

" Uh... What happened?" Jay asked, trying to hide his smile.

" We're maximizing body heat!" Cole exclaimed.

Mia raised a brow. " You're not afraid are you?"

" What?! Us? Afraid?" Kai scoffed. " No way!"

" Okay then I'll keep reading." Jay said, opening the book
