Y/N concluded her negotiations with the vampire women. As they rose to depart, the heavy wooden door creaked open, revealing a towering figure standing in the doorway.

Aro, as always, exuded an aura of ancient power and authority. His piercing crimson eyes scanned the room, settling on Y/N with a hint of curiosity.

"Y/N," Aro's voice was a smooth, silken whisper, "I am taking you are finished" he questioned as he entered the room. The vampire women exchanged anxious glances as they all turned to leave the room.

"We just finished, actually" Y/N answered as she smiled up at Aro who was now towering over her. "Excellent, then you are mine for the night" Aro grabbed her hand and lifted to his mouth as he placed a chilling kiss along her skin. Y/N couldn't help but blush at his actions. Aro was always ancient with his ways and Y/N loved him for it.

"Shall we?" he asked Y/N as he gestured his arm for her to take

"Shall we?" he asked Y/N as he gestured his arm for her to take. Y/N intertwined her arm with his as they made their way out of the room. They did not go back into the ballroom. Instead, he took her down a corridor. There seemed to be no one else in eyeshot distance.

As Y/N followed Aro's lead down the corridor, they came to a stop in a hidden alcove at the end of the hall. They entered the secluded alcove, the soft glow of a single candle illuminating their path. The air was thick with an intoxicating scent of jasmine and sandalwood. Aro turned to face Y/N, his eyes reflecting the depths of his ancient wisdom and desire.

Aro stopped infant of Y/N and he held up both her hands in his. His thumb slightly circling her skin as he caressed her hands."Y/N," he began, his voice low and intimate, "I have admired your spirit, your intelligence, and your unwavering compassion. Tonight, I cannot resist the urge to express my true feelings for you."

A blush crept across Y/N's cheeks as Aro's words washed over her like a warm breeze. "Aro," she whispered, her voice trembling slightly, "I have been drawn to you. Your enigmatic nature and your undeniable allure have captivated me from the moment we met."

As the candlelight flickered between them, Aro leaned forward and kissed Y/N tenderly. It was a kiss filled with both passion and tenderness, a promise of a connection that transcended the boundaries of time and mortality.

In that intimate embrace, they lost themselves in a realm where love and desire intertwined. The world outside their alcove faded into insignificance as they reveled in the intoxicating bliss of their connection.

Suddenly, the tranquility was shattered by a piercing cry from outside.

"Aro!" Jane's voice echoed through the stone halls; her words laced with urgency.

Aro's eyes widened as he turned his head towards the source of the disturbance. "Jane? What is it?"

Jane rushed into the alcove; her face contorted in a mask of fear. "Aro, we have trouble. Marcus left. Caius did not find him in his chamber"

Caius did not find him in his chamber"

Aro's expression darkened as he straightened up. "The documents?"

Jane did not reply. Her silence giving Aro the only answer he needed.

A mixture of shock and anger surged through Aro. He had known that Marcus was a threat, but he had not expected him to behave this abrupt.

"Go back to the chamber" Aro commanded to Y/N, his voice low and dangerous. "I will meet you there"

As he was getting ready to leave with Jane. Y/N grabbed his arm quick. "I will go with you" Y/N spoke. Aro looked into her eyes. "You can get hurt" he described. "I will not go back to that chamber without you" she added. Aro knew she would not give up. She was going to come with him no matter what. Maybe she was safer coming with him, in case he had to defend her.

"Ok but stay close and keep your eyes open for Marcus" he spoke with a low tone as his gaze wondered between Y/N and Jane.

In the labyrinthine halls, Marcus devised a perilous plan. He was in a drunken state, which made his thoughts move into action. He left his chamber after Caius returned him from the delegations. He made his way slowly down the corridor until he saw Aro leave his chamber. More than likely Aro was heading back to get Y/N from her own delegations.

Marcus slipped inside the chamber and took the parchment off the table near the bed. He read through the document. It was to be given to Sedrick by morning. Inscribing all the delegation details and what actions were to take place straight away. Starting from feeding on mortals and ending on hybrids. Marcus to the quill from the same table. His hands slightly unsteady from all the blood-wine he consumed. He signed the document.

Aro

Marcus signed with Aro's signature. Along with crossing out a few key details and rewriting his agreement to a few things. Such as, approving for a 'feeding day' and his thoughts on possibly agreeing to hybrids.

Marcus rolled the document up and held it close within his robes. He exited the chamber to make his way down the same corridor he arrived from. As he was making his way down, he saw Jane and Caius at his chamber door. He could not let them see him. He had the documents on him, and they would find out. He heard Jane's conversation with Caius. How she needs to find Aro and inform him of Marcus's disappearance and Caius would start looking down the corridors. Precisely the same corridor he was now in.

Marcus swiftly turned back around and picked up his pace. He needed to get this document signed by Sedrick straight away. Aro would assume he lost it, maybe lost it when he was busy playing around with that witch.

As Marcus was searching for Sedrick. Aro, Y/N, Jane, Caius and Athenodora were searching for him.

Word of Marcus's treachery spread like wildfire. Aro, enraged by the theft of his precious document. A relentless chase ensued, with Marcus always one step ahead.

Quickly, they all made their way into the ballroom. It was crowded by overflowing dresses and their ears were overwhelmed by the stringed instruments being strung. With everyone dancing, it was difficult to make their way through to the other end of the hall. Aro kept his hold on Y/N's hand as he led them through the crowd. Jane following right behind Y/N. The others decided to keep searching through the corridors and back to Marcus's chamber.

Y/N kept searching, her eyes wondering as Aro pulled her through. However, Y/N was just short enough that she could not see over all the people in the hall. Finally, they made their way through to the other side. Aro came to a quick stop. making Y/N stop on her toes. Along coming Jane almost bumping into Y/N.

Y/N and Jane looked up at Aro. Wondering why he abruptly stopped. Y/N noticed Aro's eyes searching back and forth. She noticed he was trying to scent him out. However, there were too many immortals in the hall. Making each scent blend into the other. Suddenly she saw him. His immortal features appearing. His fangs were out, his crimsons wide as the first time she met him. He was enraged and he apparently found the scent he was searching for. He let out a low growl mixed with an enraged hiss. He grasped her hand tighter as he jerked her with him to continue to his destination.
