Aro felt the excruciating pain as Marcus ripped his fangs out one by one. He could only taste his own blood dripping from his mouth and the throbbing pain coursing through his jaw leading into his head. A primal scream built in his throat, but Marcus's hand, cold and strong, clamped over his mouth, stifling the sound.

"It's better this way," Marcus murmured, his voice low and menacing.

His words were a twisted mockery. Aro, was being stripped of his very essence. The pain was unbearable, a white-hot inferno that pulsed through him, but it was the fear that truly chilled him to the bone.

He struggled against Marcus's and the two guards grip, his eyes wide with terror and defiance. His fangs, once instruments of power, lay scattered on the cold stone floor, like the shattered remnants of his own identity.

Marcus chuckled, a dark, guttural sound that sent shivers down Aro's spine. "The future is a fickle mistress, Aro. And she has abandoned you. You are nothing now, but a broken puppet."

He could feel the life draining from him, the power fading like a dying ember. His vision blurred, the world around him dissolving into a swirling vortex of pain and despair.

Ripping a vampire of his fangs was the cruelest of punishments. Any vampire would ask to be killed, rather than have their fangs be taken from them. The idea was to strip them of their gift, let alone strip them from ever feeding again. Unless it was already poured. But Aro already knew that Marcus would rather have him starve than pour him and blood.

"Kill me" Aro spoke through the blood filling his mouth and dripping down his chin. "Kill me" he spoke louder this time. Marcus only laughed cruelty. "Kill you?" Marcus mocked. "We all know you been trying to kill yourself, why would I give you such a gift" Marcus stated.

Abruptly the trial doors opened again, this time there were four Volturi members rushing in. Though, these were not Aro's Volturi. It was Marcus's spawns. "She is nowhere to be found" a man spoke through his hooded cloak. Marcus's featured transcended. He was angry about the newfound information. "Aro, where is she?" Marcus turned back on Aro. Aro did not look at Marcus. His crimsons were hooked on the sight of seeing his own fangs on the ground in front of him. His head drooped towards the ground from exhaustion and pain. Let alone the sickness he carried.

Marcus was growing impatient. He briskly marched back up to Aro and gripped his hair with his unfriendly hand. He made Aro lift his head and look at him. "WHERE IS SHE!" Marcus spoke with rage. His yelling made a few of the volturi shift their stance as they watched. Aro did not respond. He only looked Marcus in the eyes with disgust.

"I'll find out" a man's voice cracked through the crowd and quickly gained Marcus's attention. Aro recognized the voice. He heard footsteps approach them as the crowd thinned. "I'll take Aro and find where she is. She is my property after all" Viktor stated. Aro felt a panic within him. Not a panic for himself, but for Y/N. If Viktor was here, so was his death dealers. This explained why Rivendell found their victims bit into. They were heading here. Viktor came to watch Aro fall and so he could collect his property.

"You want to take Aro?" Marcus spoke

"You want to take Aro?" Marcus spoke. Questioning the sudden arrangement. "Yes, I'll get the information we need" Viktor explained. Viktor glanced at Aro, meeting his gaze. "We have a few.... things to discuss" Viktor added. His eyes showing the upcoming cruelty Aro would endure.

Marcus looked at Viktor for a short time, then a laugh escaped his dreadful smirk. "He is yours.... well, until dawn"

Viktor agreed then left the trial hall the same way he came in. Aro watched as he left. He even noticed the two death dealers following him as he left.

Both vampires being Selene and Kraven.

Marcus's piercing gaze landed on Aro once again.

Aro, his crimson eyes wide with disbelief. His mouth, usually a silent, predatory smile, was now a gaping maw, the silver fang that had once been there, now lying on the polished floor, glinting in the light.

Marcus, emotionless, stood over him, his face as impassive as ever. But the glint in his eyes, the slight tremor in his hand, betrayed the storm raging within him.

It had been a long time coming.

He had seen the fear in Aro's eyes, the vulnerability that lay hidden beneath the facade of power. He had seen the opportunity, the chance to strike back, to claim his own power.

The pain in Aro's face was almost comical, a stark contrast to his usual aura of invincibility. He clutched his jaw, his eyes squeezed shut, his body trembling with pain. But the pain was not just physical. It was the pain of betrayal, of power stripped away, of his own fear reflected at him.

Marcus took a step back, his gaze unwavering. The silence in the room was deafening, broken only by Aro's ragged breaths. The Volturi, frozen in shock, watched their leader, their god, brought low.

"This," Marcus said, his voice devoid of emotion, "is for all the lives you have taken, for the terror you have spread, for the fear you have instilled."

He turned and walked away, leaving Aro on the floor, his face contorted in agony, his reign of terror finally shattered. The power dynamic had shifted, a ripple of change spreading through the vampire world. The silent observer had spoken, and the silence had finally been broken.
