Vibrant flowers swayed gently in the warm breeze of the night, their colors popping against the emerald foliage. Aro paced back and forth among the blooming roses, a vision of frustration in a finely tailored ancient suit. His brows knitted together, his mind racing with schematics and plans.

"Why would Sedrick send it out so quickly?" he mumbled to himself, running a hand through his now tousled long hair. "The man has no understanding of the gravity of his actions! If that document reaches the council, it will ignite a war!"

Nearby, Y/N sat on a stone bench, attempting to cultivate an aura of tranquility amidst Aro's growing tension. She watched him with a mixture of concern and exasperation. "Aro, you're not going to solve this by just pacing back and forth," Y/N interjected, leaning forward. "Think rationally for a moment."

"Rational! You want me to think rationally?" Aro whirled around, his vibrant eyes alight with irritation. "I can't think rationally when my very existence hangs in the balance! The allegations in that document aren't just slander; they're a catalyst for chaos!" he continued mumbling under his breath. "I know he wrote more than just mere changes to my agreement"

This is the first time Y/N witnessed Aro like this. He was not yelling; he was not enraged. He was fragile. He was scared. Y/N could see it in his eyes and how his body motioned as he paced. The thoughts running through Aro's head, were worries, worries not only for himself, but for all mortals and immortals.

Y/N sighed, shaking her head lightly. "Bickering with yourself in circles isn't going to get us anywhere." She got up from the bench she been sitting on and walked slowly over to Aro. She grasped her hand in his and intertwined their fingers together. She beban circling her thumb upon his cold skin. The same gesture Aro always does to her. Y/N noticed he began to let his guard down. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

"You don't need to worry about the documents" Y/N whispered. This made Aro's crimson appear and narrow. That is when he realized there was a slight glow coming from Y/N's hand. He looked down and studied her in curiosity. He seemed slightly confused. Y/N lifted her palm and the document appeared.

"I acquired it when you and Marcus were bickering" Y/N smiled up at Aro as she handed the document to him. Aro grasped it from her and looked upon it. He was reading each word and looking upon his forged signature. "How did you..." he started That is when Y/N tightened her grip with the one hand she still held Aro's Hand with. Aro understood what she wanted. She wanted him to delve into her mind.

That is when Aro dropped her hand so he could fold the document and place it in his pocket. He then picked up both her hands with his and began caressing them as he leaned forward and they both placed each other's forehead on one another. Both their eyes closed as he lifted their hands up intertwined close to their chests.

He was now in her mind. Witnessing how she acquired the document. Aro knew her powers would regain their strength. But he did not think they would grow this fast. Yes, they been practicing every day when in Volturi. However, this was different. A scenario they never practiced.

Aro was standing within her mind, her mind palace. He found her mind to be beautiful and magnificent compared to the mortals and immortals he invaded before. He watched as everything played out earlier that night. Starting with their search for Marcus and ending in the garden where they now stood. He watched how he was bickering with Marcus and the comments he was making about his sister. He then realized from the side; Sedrick was handing a document to an unknown individual who was now on their way out the main doors of the estate. More than likely sending the document right away. Then he noticed Y/N was witnessing this exchange. Her eyes were stuck on the individual and her hand was in a tight fist by her side. Then out of nowhere she snapped her fingers together and in a breeze the document disappeared from the individual's hands.

Vanished.

The individual did not say a word. Only their eyes were wide in confusion, yet too scared to say anything to Sedrick. Afraid he would execute them for losing the document. So, the individual hid the odd fact and left the vicinity to go back to their duties in serving blood-wine. Avoiding Sedrick, the remainder of the night.

Aro was in awe about her magic. But a part of him was curious. Did she know she could do this? She seemed to know what she was doing. This made Aro a bit puzzled. He didn't know what to think about it. But he was pleased to have the document back in his possession.

Aro opened his eyes and Y/N opened hers as well. Both their gazes landed on the other. "You are magnificent" Aro spoke with a grin. He then placed a kiss upon her hand and caressed them. Y/N giggled slightly at the brush of his lips. The chill always made her giggle.

"There was something I was meaning to tell you earlier, before we were interrupted" Aro began.

That is when Aro and Y/N entertained their arms together as they continued their way through the garden path. Aro wanted to be alone with her. He needed to guide her away from the noises of the ball. They needed complete silence. He had to ask her something. He been wanting to ask her for a while now.
