In the hushed confines of the silent library, a flicker of dawn illuminated the dust-laden shelves. Aro and Y/N snuggled together, their bodies entwined on the cold stone floor.

Now, as the first rays of morning peeked through the high windows, they lay side by side, their breaths mingling in the crisp air. Aro's crimson eyes met Y/N's, filled with a tender affection that belied his centuries-old existence.

"My dearest Y/N," he murmured, his voice a soft caress, "I never thought I would find such happiness in your embrace."

Y/N smiled up at him, her heart fluttering. "Nor I, Aro"

They laid in silence for a long moment, savoring the peace and intimacy of their moment. The library seemed to hold its breath, as if witnessing a secret that would forever remain untold.

Finally, Aro broke the silence. "I must get ready for today's trials" Y/N looked up at him. "Is Marcus going to be there?" she asked. Aro could see the concern in her eyes. "No, he will be staying downstairs" Aro stated as he rose from where they once laid, Y/N following him.

Aro began buttoning his shirt back on as he set his gaze on Y/N. He couldn't help but admire her. No matter how she seemed, he couldn't keep his crimsons off her. Her hair was a complete mess, and her dress was in a ruffle. He slightly smirked.

"I assume you're going to the orphanage today?" Aro asked her. He somewhat knew what she did during the day. He occasionally asked Jane what she was up to. However, he gave her the obligations he could not attend. The orphanage being one of them. "Yes, I am after I meet Athenodora to go over a few things" Y/N answered as she tried to even out her dress.

Aro nodded in understanding. "I will see you this evening, my Orchid" he spoke softly as he walked over and placed a kiss on her forehead. Y/N left the library along with Aro. Both departing in separate directions once they were in the corridor.

Aro started thinking about the impending trial he was walking into. Each step he took echoing with enigmatic power as he made his way to the grand trial hall. Y/N was hurrying to her private chamber. She needed to fix her hair and change into something that did not smell nor look like she just had sex with Aro. Even though she did.

After Y/N got refreshed for the day. She made her way to the lounge. Athenodora was already seated drinking her blood-tea per usual. Y/N hurriedly entered and took her seat in the settee across from her friend. "I heard you had a busy night" Athenodora smirked up at Y/N. Y/N's cheeks grew red at the comment. "I.. I.." she stammered. "Oh, we're grownups Y/N. I'm just happy Aro is happier in trials now that he been getting himself off" Athenodora chuckled lightly. Y/N laughed to herself. "Athenodora!" she spoke. "Now, show me" Athenodora sat her blood-tea on the table between them and leaned forward to see Y/N's hand. "How did you know?" Y/N asked as she held her hand out so Athenodora could see her engagement ring.

Athenodora looked the ring over and patted her friend's hand. "It looks gorgeous, it was his mother's ring, and I found out from Jane" Athenodora smiled up at Y/N. Of course, Jane would tell her. She seemed to be the messaging owl in Volturi. "His mothers?" Y/N gasped slightly. "You mean a great deal to him, Y/N. Do not let anyone else see this" Athenodora gestured to her ring. Y/N nodded in understanding.

"Here, drink some tea. I made another pot without the blood" Athenodora smiled as she poured a teacup full for Y/N. Athenodora and Y/N spent their time together exchanging information about the ball and delegations that happened the day before. Y/N even gave her details about how Aro proposed. After their exchange of delightful conversation, Y/N departed from her friend's presence as she had to make her way to the orphanage. She had a check she needed to deliver from the Volturi.

Y/N noticed it was now raining outside, as a small storm was passing through. However, it was not dangerous to walk in. Y/N grabbed a raincoat and put on her leather boots. Thank goodness Jane gave her a raincoat with the rest of the attire she was given. She pulled the hoody over her head and began her route to the Orphanage.
