Amidst the ancient tapestries and flickering candlelight, Aro stood with his mate, Y/N.

Aro turned to Y/N, his crimson eyes gleaming with pride. "My love" he whispered into her ear, "allow me to introduce you to some of our esteemed companions."

First, he led her to a young couple. Their stern expression softened as they greeted Y/N. The couple spoke with Aro and Y/N for quite some time. Describing their cottage that was in northern Scotland and how they should visit sometime.

Next, Aro presented Y/N to an elderly man.He contained piercing blue eyes that sparkled with curiosity. "My dear Y/N, it is a pleasure to meet you. Your presence brings a welcome change to our dark world." the man slightly chuckled.

Aro then introduced Y/N to Chelsea, a gifted vampire who could control emotions. Chelsea extended a warm hand and smiled sweetly. "Welcome, Y/N. I sense great potential within you." Aro for some reason acted different. As he shifted his stance occasionally. He rushed Y/N's greeting with Chelsea and hurried her away with him.

After a long day of conversing with immortal individuals, it was finally time to go back to the Volturi fortress. Aro guided Y/N to their vehicle, opening the door for her. Aro then entered the other side of the car and slid in close to her. Without their own acknowledgment, their hands automatically intertwined themselves. As the car began to leave, Aro noticed Sedrick was outside watching them as they left. The only feature he displayed was a mischievous grin. A grin Aro did not like. He knew what Sedrick wanted; he communicated the issue to Aro the last time he visited Volturi. He wanted Aro to turn Y/N. He wanted the witch for their own Volturi uses.

Amidst the fading embers of twilight, as the last rays of sunlight kissed the cobbled streets of Venice, Y/N and Aro found themselves ensconced in the plush interior of the back seat. The driver, a taciturn figure with a cold gaze, navigated the labyrinthine canals with ease, his deft maneuvers carrying them swiftly towards the ancient stronghold of the Volturi.

Y/N, her heart still pounding from the whirlwind of events that had transpired in the City of Masks, leaned against the soft leather seats, her mind racing. The encounters with the enigmatic vampires had left her both intrigued and wary, their power and influence undeniable. Especially the way she witnessed Aro during his speech. How Aro's eyes sparkled with an unsettling intensity. He radiated an aura of ancient knowledge and predatory grace. His every word, every gesture seemed to carry a weight that belied his youthful appearance.

"Well, my dear Orchid," Aro began, his voice smooth as velvet, "Did you like Venice? I trust you found it...enlightening."

Y/N nodded hesitantly. "Enlightening, yes. But also...unsettling."

Aro chuckled softly. "That is to be expected. Our ways may seem strange, but they are essential to maintaining the balance of our world."

As the vehicle sped through the countryside, Y/N's thoughts turned to the future. What would her life be like now that she was engaged to the Volturi leader. She couldn't help but fiddle with the ruby ring that rested now upon her finger.

The journey seemed to stretch endlessly, now the vehicle finallyl pulled to a stop before the towering gates of the Volturi's fortress.

Y/N and Aro disembarked, their footsteps echoing on the ancient stone. As they made their way through the imposing entrance hall, Y/N couldn't help but feel a sense of awe at the grandeur that surrounded her. Every time she entered the hall, she couldn't help but stand still to take it all in. The Volturi had created a world of their own, a realm of power and mystery that stood apart from the mortal realm. It was a breathtaking sight, no matter how many times you witness it.

"My dear" Aro's voice whispered as he stood next to her, a silken caress against the silence. " Join me in our library?" he smiled down at Y/N

Y/N's heart skipped a beat. He said 'our', Y/N did not fully comprehend that this fortress was going to be hers as well since she was now engaged to Aro. She always found solitude in the library. She missed spending most of her day in the library since they had to travel to Venice for their delegations. Y/N formed a huge grin upon her features as she grabbed up his hand and began pulling him with her down the corridor, in the direction of the vast library.

As they entered the library, the air grew heavy with the scent of aged paper and the faintest hint of dust. As usual. Rows upon rows of towering bookshelves lined the walls, their spines adorned with intricate carvings and faded lettering.

Aro gestured towards the secluded alcove that was beyond the bookshelves, where a small table and two chairs lay bathed in the soft glow of a single candle. This was their favorite spot in the library. Y/N took her seat as Aro quickly grabbed up two books off the shelf. He quickly made his way back to Y/N where he took his seat across from her.
