Lucian walked Y/N safely to the orphanage. It was a three-story building in the Volterra town. Its exterior matching the ancient town. "Thank you, Lucian" Y/N thanked Lucian for walking her all the way into town. "My pleasure" Lucian stated as he nodded and turned to head back to the Volturi fortress.

Y/N watched as Lucian walked away. She suddenly felt nervous being by herself. She never did this type of thing before. Though she was used to children from her time spent in the north. She used to entertain the youth there during the elder's delegations.

Suddenly the wooden door of the orphanage swung open, and an aged woman dressed in nunnery approached her. "You must be Y/N" she greeted. The woman voice carried a sweetness to it. "Yes, that is me" Y/N stated with a jump to her voice. "Please come in" the woman gestured for her to follow her inside.

Y/N stepped across the threshold, her gaze sweeping across the cheerful surrounding.

The air was alive with the sound of children's laughter, a symphony of joy that echoed through the halls. The walls were adorned with vibrant paintings and handmade crafts, each a testament to the creativity and resilience that resided within these young souls. As Y/N followed the gentle steps of the aged woman, she could feel a sense of tranquility wash over her.

The woman led her to the dining hall, a spacious room where long wooden tables stretched across the length of the room. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with the tantalizing aroma of freshly baked bread wafting through the air. As Y/N took her seat at one of the tables, she noticed a group of children gathered around another woman in the corner.

The woman, the children called Sister Mary, seemed of immense kindness and compassion. Her eyes sparkled with a gentle light, and her smile radiated a warmth that could melt away any sorrow. With a soft, melodic voice, she addressed the children, her words flowing effortlessly like a gentle stream.

"My dear children," Sister Mary began, "I have a special guest who has come to visit us today. Her name is Y/N, and she would like to learn more about our orphanage."

A chorus of cheerful greetings filled the room as the children turned their attention towards Y/N. Their faces were etched with curiosity and a hint of excitement. Y/N felt a surge of warmth as she looked into their eager eyes.

"Hello," Y/N said, her voice slightly trembling. "It's a pleasure to meet you all."

For the next hour, Y/N listened intently to Sister Mary's stories about the orphanage and the children who lived there. She learned about the challenges they had faced, the triumphs they had celebrated, and the unbreakable bonds they had forged with each other. As she listened, Y/N's heart swelled with a profound sense of admiration and gratitude.

Y/N learned all the children's names and what their favorite color was. The aged woman that greeted her, gave gratitude to the Volturi. She spoke highly of the Volturi and how they help keep the orphanage running. She then gave Y/N a list of their needs. Y/N took the list from the aged woman with a warm smile. "I will go over these with the volturi right away and make sure you all have what you need" she indicated.

When the meeting drew to a close, Y/N knew that she had found something truly special. The Orphanage was not just a place of shelter; it was a sanctuary of love, hope, and resilience. And Y/N was determined to do everything in her power to support the children and the dedicated staff who cared for them. The Volturi have been upholding their promise to the orphanage for centuries, and she was determined to keep that bond.

Suddenly she heard all the children rush down the hall as they greeted someone in excitement. The children all seemed to know this individual. Y/N was still seated at the dining hall table with the aged woman and sister Mary present. "it must be their favorite visitor" sister Mary smiled warmly as she turned her attention to the hall way where the children were drawn.

Y/N was curious who this person might be. That is when Y/N witnessed all the children shuffling into the dining hall in a crowd as they followed this individual inside. Barely leaving any space.

It was Aro. His gaze on all the children surrounding him. Tugging at his clothes. Another child who seemed to be the age of three was hanging onto his leg. He had a large grin across his face.

Y/N was shocked to see him here. She was shocked how his demeanor changed. "Aro" she spoke as she quickly stood up. "Y/N" he stated as a grinned up at her. "Aro, how good it is to see you dear" The aged woman walked up to Aro and gave him a tight hug. Him exchanging the same gesture. Aro felt comfortable here. Y/N couldn't understand it, but she was watching it.

"Play the game! play the game!" A few children demanded as they pulled on Aro to sit at the table as they all huddled around him. "Ok just a times" Aro then held out his palms as a young girl placed her small hand on his. "Ahhh, Sophia" Aro's eyes were searching for the young girls. "Today you ate.... Spaghetti" Aro spoke as he was teasing the young girl. The young girl laughed contagiously. "Who is next?" he continued with his palms still out. This time a boy who seemed close to the age of twelve marched up to Aro and grabbed his hand in a strong handshake.

"Ahhh Klaus" Aro started as his eyes searched

"Ahhh Klaus" Aro started as his eyes searched. "You have been sneaking to the river to fish at night" he continued with a funny grin. The boy quickly left go of Aro's hand and his face grew red as he looked at sister Mary. "Klaus!" Sister Mary shouted as she placed both hands on her hips. The boy let out an outburst of laughter as he took off running from sister Mary who was searching for him now.

Suddenly a small boy tugged on Aro's shirt. He leaned down as the boy cupped his mouth to whisper in Aro's ear. "Ah, I see" Aro softly spoke. "Let me see" he held his hand to the small boy. They both held hands as Aro's eyes narrowed. "Maybe next week they will return" he patted the boy on the head.

"Alright everyone, time to leave your friend alone for a bit, enough games for the day" The aged woman spoke as she slowly shooed all the children from the room. All they could hear was the groans of children leaving "But I want to play with the magician more" a Childs voice roared in the group.

Little did they know, Aro was no magician. He was a vampire who could delve into their thoughts and memories. That is how we were performing his little magic trick with the children.

Aro was seated across from where Y/N was standing. She then sat back down in her seat. "How have you been doing?" Aro asked with his crimson eyes gazing at her. "Great, the women gave me this list of all they will be needing" Y/N handed Aro the paper. His eyes glided over the paper as he consumed each letter of the writing. "Then it shall be taken care of right away" he stated as he tucked the paper into his pocket.

The aged woman then made her way back into the dining hall after taking the children into the other room where they were now playing. She then took a seat next to him. "How are school supplies?" Aro questioned the woman. "We are good, at least until spring" she smiled at Aro. "And this winter, you will be needing wood for fires" Aro indicated. "I will have a shipment delivered soon" Aro continued. "Thank you" the aged woman spoke as she grabbed Aro's hand in hers. "You are a generous man; we can never repay you" Aro listened intently to the woman words. "And you will never have to" he stated as he placed another hand on top of hers.

"Now, I must steal Y/N from you all " Aro stood from his seat, making the aged woman and Y/N follow in his tracks. Y/N only grinned "Thank you for having me here today" the aged woman came up to Y/N and gave her a warm hug. "You are always welcomed here" she smiled.

Aro took Y/N by the hand as they made their way out of the orphanage and onto the cobbled street outside. As they walked back to the Volturi fortress. Y/N couldn't help but look up at Aro in amusement. The man she witnessed in the orphanage was someone she never seen before. Watching Aro interact with the children left Y/N in awe. She even found it attract. Or perhaps that was her natural woman hormones going wild.
