City lights flickering on, a constellation of dreams-- stories waiting to be written. Lingling saw them and her head cleared of the day's worries. She has been the CEO of this company for over eight years, but it was not an easy journey. She weathered difficulties, breached barriers and negotiated the deadly waters of corporate skullduggery. Today, she took a moment to reflect peacefully. She had been far, but there was no unknown distance here in front of her for the rest of this road. She knew the struggles would persist, but she was prepared to face them with her ambition and her unshaken spirit.

She sighed heavily, placed her wine glass on the table and walked towards the desk. She reached over to pick up the phone and called.

"Nevermind, I'm in."

She hung up the phone without letting the other line respond and stormed out of her office.

At the Crimson Moon

Electronic tunes and soft background music mix up the dance floor, conjuring up an enchanting atmosphere. The grand picture is a multitude of the well-off inhabitants with the fainting of minds that are discussing and laughing. Expensive perfumes and mixed with fruity cocktails float simultaneously in the air and hence the environment is splendid. Usually, Lingling, who finds her solace in the setting of the Crimson Moon, is practically best, to the point of being her own savior from the disturbing and perplexing thoughts.

"Here!" Ying, her close friend, called with one hand and a swinging motion over to the counter.

Ying Anada and Lingling are the best friends that have grown up together, with Ying as the founder of this Club for four years. The place is a haven for the rich and the young stylish college students as well as those teenagers who want to have a break away from the pressure of school. Some who are used to the club feel it vital to drinking alcohol to cope with the academic and social troubles. At the same time, the wealthier youngsters, others, tend to use false IDs to lie about their age and thus make their way in. The bar owner doesn’t get the scenario and thus ignores when these teenagers bribe the bouncers to get inside.

Lingling made herself comfortable at the counter and quickly gestured the bartender for a drink.

(NOTE: Lingling is older than Ying Anada)

"So, what was that that made you change your mind and come to my bar?"

Ying was constantly bugging her best friend to visit her club, basically because she wanted to gossip, even though Lingling was the one who habitually kept away from this kind of talk. Lingling frequently lets her friend chatter about people she dislikes without her also taking part in the gossip. Although she may hear her friend’s rumor about others, she tends to forget about it afterwards.

The older one rolled her eyes. "Drinking alone in my office was getting me down, so I decided to come here. You're lucky I chose your place." That made her friend chuckle.

"It would have been better to have a drink with Win to avoid feeling lonely."

"He's out of town" Lingling boredly say.

Ying, noticing her friend's downcast expression, inquired, "Is it because your boy is away that you're feeling a little down?"

The CEO shakes her head. "It's just work stress, nothing major. I just want to unwind with a drink and clear my head."

"Oh. But are you guys already a thing?"

Lingling chuckled at her friend's question. "Not yet."

Ying playfully nudge her friend "Not yet but soon."
