The polished mahogany door swung open, revealing Charlotte Austin, her smile as bright as the sunlight streaming through the expansive windows. "Thank you for the warm welcome, CEO." she said, extending a hand towards the woman behind the large, sleek desk.

CEO Lingling Kwong, a woman radiating warmth and authority, clasped Charlotte's hand with a genuine smile. "You're welcome, Miss Austin." she replied, her voice a melodious blend of confidence and kindness.

Charlotte, a temporary addition to Kwong's Company, was about to embark on a new chapter in her career, albeit a temporary one. She's here to work as a model, lending her image and presence to the company's upcoming campaign. "So, are you up for lunch later?"

"Yeah, sure," Lingling responded, "The entire team will be gathering for lunch together. As CEO, it's important for me to attend."

The meeting concluded, and soon, the lobby restaurant buzzed with activity. Employees, a vibrant mix of personalities, gathered around tables, their laughter and chatter filling the air. Charlotte, amidst the lively crowd, felt a sense of belonging, a feeling of being welcomed into a new world, a world that promised both challenges and opportunities, even if her time here is fleeting.

Charlotte held out a plate of decadent dessert "Would you like to take a bite of this?" she offered, her gaze lingering on Lingling's face but the CEO politely declined by shaking her head, attention glued to her phone.

A knowing chuckle escaped the model's lips. "You're probably checking your phone every two seconds, aren't you?" she inquired, her eyes dancing down to the CEO'S phone screen. Lingling let out an awkward smile, "Uh, yeah. Actually she's making her way over here."

Charlotte's lips formed a playful 'O' as she leaned back "Does she know I'm on a temporary assignment with your company?" she asked, a hint of mischief in her tone.

Lingling shook her head, her gaze still fixed on her phone, waiting for Orm's message. "I'll tell her later"

"No need to mention it to her, it's nothing major. I'm just here for a short while anyway."

Finally, Lingling looked up, her eyes meeting Charlotte's, unblinking. "I believe in full transparency with her, even about the smallest details." she said with her professional tone.

Charlotte's grin widened further, a secret amusement dancing in her eyes. The truth was, she had harbored a secret crush on the CEO, but after discovering her love for someone else, she had decided to bounce back. Now, all she wanted is to tease this playful game of cat and mouse, unsure whether she was more interested in Orm or Lingling.

Afterwards, The model caught Orm in her visual field. A smirk played on her lips as she leaned closer to the CEO, who remained oblivious, attention is still on the phone she's holding. It was a blatant attempt to provoke, a subtle challenge directed at the woman who held the CEO's heart.

Orm, however, was not oblivious. She saw the flirtatious gesture and her eyebrows shot up in annoyance. She walked towards them with swift steps. Charlotte, unfazed, leaned back.

Lingling, sensing the shift in the atmosphere, felt something in her gut. She raised her head, her senses tingling with the familiar scent of the woman she loves. Her face lit up as she saw Orm standing before her. She leapt to her feet, her eyes fixed on her, a silent plea for her attention.

But Orm's attention is solely on Charlotte, her glare piercing the model's soul. She stood firm, her arms crossed. Charlotte didn't bat an eye, challenging the young CEO's gaze.  The tension in the room was palpable, a silent battle of wills playing out between two women vying for one woman's attention.
