Chapter 44

Sosuke (interrupting): How are you still alive?

Sabrina (while appearing on the other side): That's because Anna has a high-rank vampire skill. Once in a while, Anna is unable to die from a life-threatening injury.

Once Sabrina appeared Anna noticed her appearance was the same but wearing a white ankle-length dress that had no sleeves, split in the middle of the skirt, a red belt connected to her hip and red bat clip buttons in the middle of the top half that reach above the chest. White middle-length gloves that hook around her middle finger with a red bat on that hook finger, white short leggings and white boots that have flat heels, red underneath and red lace in the middle that tied in a bow on the top middle.

Sosuke: And who are you?

Sabrina (cross her arms): My name is Sabrina.

Anna (while standing): So you can take physical form and you stole one of my outfits.

Sabrina (while Keith stands): It took a while to be able to have a physical form. I'm just happy I'm able to help you now. However, you can't complain since you stole one of my outfits.

Keith (look at Anna's chest): Your wound and the blood stain disappear.

Sosuke: No matter how many people you bring (while Anna's armour appears) I will beat you.

Unknown voice (background): No I will deal with them.

Sosuke: But my Lord.

Suddenly Sosuke glowed so bright it made everyone cover their eyes while a glow orb come out of Sosuke body. Once the orb took shape shadow chains appeared from the ground wrapping around Anna's team before pulling them to their knees.

Shadow King ((unknown voice) Sosuke lies on the floor after the glow disappears): I warned you this would be the last time I gave you a chance to kill your friends. However, you disappointed me once again.

Sabrina (smiling): We meet again Shadow King.

Anna: You two know each other?

Sabrina: We battle each other but decided to let me live since I wouldn't die.

Shadow King: However your abilities won't work here.

Sabrina (smiling): That's what you think.

Shadow King (after having a shadow sword appear): But first I need to end this demon's life.

Anna (while trying to move): Leave him alone.

Suddenly Keith and Anna's chains glowed draining their strength while Sosuke's eyes opened a bit seeing where the Shadow King walking with his normal eyes.

Sosuke (in his mind while trying to sit up): I won't let you take my friend's life.

Sosuke holds out his hand making the slime chain appear stopping the Shadow King before having the shadow chain disappear. Keith quickly touched Anna and Sabrina's shoulder to teleport so they could appear near Sosuke.

Sosuke (standing a few steps behind Keith when he appears with Anna and Sabrina): You three alright?

Sabrina (after they turn around when she and Anna stand): Be careful it might be a trick.

Keith (after touching Anna's shoulder): Sosuke?

Sosuke (smiling): I'm back Keith.

Anna (in her mind): He's free from the Shadow King spell.

From the corner of Anna's eyes she saw the Shadow King disappear but when she was about to warn them. Sosuke was suddenly stabbed in the heart having the Shadow King behind him seeing everyone's shocked expression before disappearing.

Keith (rush to Sosuke while he falls forward): Sosuke!

Sabrina (walking forward): Anna treats Sosuke.

Anna: You're not seriously going to fight the Shadow King alone?

Sabrina ran off not answering Anna question so she was going to go after Sabrina but a group of phantoms appeared around them. Instead of questioning Yurei Anna went and tried to stop the bleeding on Sosuke's injury.

(inside phantom barrier)

Anna (on one knee using healing magic): The bleeding won't stop.

Sosuke (while Keith holds his upper body): It's part of the contract with the Shadow King. Being stabbed in the heart by your master can't ever heal.

Keith (on one knee): You just broke free from the Shadow King's control and now you don't have that much time.

Sosuke (while the glow from Anna's hand disappears): I'm sorry for how I acted towards you two. I couldn't act myself because I was being watched. (look at Keith) I was happy to see you use my ice magic when we met. (look at Anna) I know I shouldn't as you but please take care of my friend.

Anna (grabs Sosuke's hand): I'll take this request of yours. I wish we could have had time to get to know each other.

Sosuke (in his mind while slowly closing his eyes): Keith. I'm happy you have a very good friend in this generation who can stay by you.

Keith: Sosuke wakes up. Don't fall asleep.

Sosuke body glowed turning into an orb before entering Keith's heart. After feeling a pulse Keith grabs his chest near his heart making Anna worry.

(in Keitth mind)

Keith (sees an elf green orb after opening his eyes): What's this?

Sosuke (ghost appears on the opposite side): I want you to take my power.

Keith: Why? I already have your ice magic.

Sosuke: Trust me. The Shadow King is strong and the skills you have now aren't enough to protect Anna.

Keith: So you already know Anna getting stronger.

Sosuke: Yes but I feel like her path may change again.

Keith: Sosuke I promise I won't fail you.

Sosuke: Then touch the orb and your unknown new power will be revealed.

When Keith touched the orb it glowed having a flow of new power enter his soul but before he woke up he saw Sosuke say something.

(phantom barrier)

Anna (look at Keith when he opens his eyes): You alright?

Keith (look at Anna): I'm fine. Sorry for worrying you. (notice) What's wrong?

Anna (speechless): Your eyes.
