(Keith's dream forest)

Keith (sitting up after opening his eyes when he was lying on the ground wearing his pyjamas): Where am I?

Unknown voice (from the background after Keith stood up): Follow my voice.

Keith (in his mind while walking towards the voice direction): I heard that voice before. Once when I was a child and a few times during my training. (see an open tree branch) However, when it stopped I thought I was just hearing things.

(inside tree branch)

Keith (surprised while standing near the entrance): Why is there a lake here?

Unknown voice: You've grown chosen one. I thought you might not need me but I was wrong.

Keith (while the wind blows behind him): Who are you? What do you mean chosen?

Unknown voice (while a light appears above the lake): While you were young do you remember entering a forbidden area that you were told never to go to because you haven't come of age?

Keith (after getting a faint memory): I remember but at the time I couldn't stop. Something was calling me however I don't fully remember. After standing in front of the gate my memories go blank only remembering waking up in a medical bed.

Unknown voice (while a swell of water surrounds the glowing orb): That's because your parents sealed your memories of unlocking me from my chains.

Keith: But why me? It makes no sense. I don't get why I was the only child who had to be watched.

Spirit dog ((unknown voice) after the water flows back into the lake): That's because you said you've been hearing voices making the chief aware that you're showing signs of your destiny.

Keith: You're the spirit dog from the legend.

Spirit dog: It seems like at the time your mind was too drawn to my calling it made you the first to obtain my soul at a young age.

Keith: Then why show yourself now?

Spirit dog: Because you need that power. The strength of a god.

Keith: So I'll become a dog demon?

Spirit dog: Yes. If you want my power enter the lake but if you don't want it then leave.

Keith (walks to the lake): Since I was destined to meet you again I'll use this opportunity to accept your power to support the person I love to beat the Shadow King.

(A week later morning Ocean Land Makoto base Medical room)

Keith (after opening his eyes): Where am I?

Yurei (appears near the bed once Keith sat up): You're in Makoto base Lord Keith.

Keith (while standing only wearing trousers): So it was Makoto that I saw after escaping.

Makoto (after the door opens): The stupid demon finally decides to wake up. You know you made Anna worry.

Keith (after looking at Makoto having dog ears): Please don't call me stupid, Makoto.

Makoto: Don't mind explaining your new look?

Keith: Don't mind telling me how long I was asleep?

Renji (after standing near Makoto): Why don't we chat after Keith gets a check-up first?

(Makoto office)

Makoto (sitting at his desk looking at a screen of Keith's condition): I'm surprised Keith's condition is fine. I thought he would feel weak and tired.

Renji (standing next to Makoto): Same here. However, I wonder when he got those dog ears. (look at Makoto) What's funny?

Makoto (smiling): I'm just thinking of how Anna would react after seeing Keith's new scars.

Renji: Even with his quick healing ability. Any deep injuries would become scars. So should we tell Anna?

Makoto (while standing): Let's ask him.

(medical room)

Keith (sitting on a bedchair wearing his pyjamas): I don't get why they gave me a check-up when I'm feeling fine.

Yurei: Lord Keith you're lucky nothing wrong with you.

Keith: So Anna somewhere else?

Yurei: Yes because she thinks it's best to keep the Shadow King in the dark.

Keith (after sighing): I understand.

Makoto (after walking in with Renji): What's with that look?

Keith (look at Makoto and Renji): It's nothing. Yurei was telling me what's been happening.

Renji: So what happens to your ears?

Keith: That's a long story but I'll give you a quick version. When I was a kid a spirit dog that was sealed in a gate called to me but because of what I did I couldn't remember much. However while asleep that spirit appeared in my dream and after accepting its power I turned into what you see.

Makoto: You haven't changed much.

Keith (while standing): I know. So how long was I asleep?

Renji: Three weeks. During that time the Shadow King hasn't done much.

Keith: That's good. (look at Makoto) Makoto can I ask for your help as a fellow lightning user?

Makoto: What do you need my help with?

Keith: I need your help learning new skills and learning how to absorb other people's lightning.

Makoto: Luckily for you, I know how to do that.

Renji: Then leave your work to me while you help Keith.

Makoto (look at Renji): Thanks mam. (look at Keith with a smile) You better be ready my training won't be easy.

Keith (smiling): Ready when you are.

(four days later snow mountain land forest hill)

Anna (sitting on a horse wearing her winter outfit with her hood on): I wonder how everyone doing. (in her mind while the wind blows) I've been riding to different areas to keep myself distracted.

Yoruichi (from a fox fire): Return to the base. The general is about to hold a meeting.

Anna (while turning her horse around): On my way now. (in her mind while riding) Every time I leave the base Yoruichi have to follow me so I don't do anything dumb. I guess she's doing it for Keith's sake or maybe Yoruichi doing it because she worries as a big sister.
