Chapter 27

Sabrina: Anna's transformation is almost complete but I need the blood of a demon at my rank. Since I'm dead I can only make sure her transformation goes smoothly.

Keith: Why not use my blood?

Sabrina (while Keith took his coat off): You sure?

Keith (walking towards Sabrina): Well I'm the only demon who's alive but what will happen to Anna?

Sabrina (while Keith sits next to her): I know she's going to become a demon but I don't know what type she'll be.

Keith (passes his arm): With our help, we can help Anna control her new abilities.

Sabrina (grabs Keith's arm): Thank you for trusting me.

Keith (in his mind after feeling a drained pulse when Sabrina started drinking his blood): I should have asked how much she needed but it's for Anna so I'll just wait to see what happens.

(Anna's mind)

Sabrina (wings open while floating): It's time to wake up sweety.

Anna (eyes open a bit while holding Sabrina's hand): Sabrina where's this sudden power coming from?

Sabrina (shows a gentle smile while Anna struggles to keep her eyes open): Once you wake up (before Anna's eyes close) you'll understand.

(next day morning cabin)

Anna (in her mind after opening her eyes): Where am I? (while sitting up) I remember feeling light in my body...

Keith (after opening the door while holding his coat): You're awake.

Anna (see Keith's shocked expression): What's with that look?

At the corner of Anna's eyes, she notices something different in the reflection but when she turns around Anna notices her eyes are purple flower and has cat ears.

Anna (shock): What happened to me?

Keith: You became a half-demon cat.

Anna (look at Keith): Half demon? How!

Keith: Calm down. I'll explain everything in Sabrina's stead.

Anna: Wait. Did you talk to Sabrina?

Keith (after sitting on the bed): Well she took over your body last night needing my blood to make the transformation successful.

Anna: What!

Keith: Sabrina no normal demon. She's half vampire and half cat demon. Through the transformation, you change into the appearance you're in now. (notice Anna's thinking expression) What are you thinking?

Anna stood up before looking at the window seeing her eyes turn red. However when Keith was about to say something Anna's aura swelled wide changing into the demon eye outfit.

Keith: Are you crazy! Why did you change into that form?

Anna (eyes and outfit change back to normal): I had to check something. I thought I lost that ability meaning I can use the seal form.

Keith: Before Sabrina fell asleep she told me your abilities have increased having half of what I am able to do. Sabrina also told me that you still have to be careful using that seal form.

Anna: I see. (notice) Can you check my back?

Keith (standing): Okay. (in his mind while Anna unbuttons her shirt) I'm surprised Anna is calm after waking up but I have to tell her and I know she won't be happy.

Anna (holds her shirt covering her front side and loose the cut bandage): Well?

Keith (see a vertical scar on Anna's back): It's healed.

Anna (while putting her shirt back on): Keith I have a question.

Keith: Is it something to do with you being a half-demon?

Anna: In this form, do I smell a demon and a human?

Keith: Correct.

Anna: So what about that other form with the red eyes?

Keith: Your demon aura from your cat and vampire side are stronger than before.

Anna (leaving the buttons undone): I see.

Keith: You'll get used to the changes soon.

Anna: Keith why do I smell a faint scent of smoke fused with blood?

Keith (after taking a deep breath): The shadow race attacked us yesterday.

Anna (grabs Keith's collar): Why are we here then?

Keith (grabs Anna's wrist): Because Jack ordered me to take you away. He knew they would lose but he wanted us to live another day since the only thing we know is to fight. I wanted to stay but...

Anna (after letting Keith go): I'm sorry. I'm just mad that I wasn't able to help because I was deep asleep.

Keith: What would you like to do?

Anna: I want to go back to the base to bury my fallen family.

Keith: Of course. (putting his coat on) By the way, are those your normal eye colours?

Anna (starts walking to the door): Yes. These are the eyes I was born with before having the demon eyes. Also before I forget how long was I asleep?

Keith: For a week. Today is the eighth day and the attack was yesterday on the seventh day. The meeting was six days before they attacked.

Anna (in her mind while opening the door): A week. It may be short but to me, that's too long.

Keith (puts a cloak on Anna's shoulder): It's still a bit cold outside so wear this.

Anna: Thank you.

(forest near destroyed base)

After walking for a bit they stop behind a bush seeing a few shadow monsters, base half destory and dead soldier bodies.

Keith (shock): Oh god.

Anna (taking the cloak off): Keith wait here.

Keith (Anna walks off after taking her cloak): Okay. (in his mind) With that aura she's releasing I shouldn't stop her.

(outside forest)

Anna (in her mind while walking): How dare you invade my home and kill the people who took care of me while I was in a deep sleep. (eyes glow a bit at the same time an aura weapon slowly appears near her right hand) You all will regret making me your enemy.
