Chapter 69

Keith (after kissing Anna): I'm telling you the truth. Like you, I had a crush on Shizuka but I knew it wasn't possible because her parents agreed with another family to have her marry their son. However, I couldn't help myself but watch over her.

Anna: Didn't it hurt being with Shizuka just being friends?

Keith: My feelings weren't that strong to be a crush so I was able to forget that to concentrate on our friendship.

Anna (while Keith's grip got tighter a bit): You're happy.

Keith (leans his head on Anna's head): I'm just happy I have something that belongs to me.

Anna: I think it's time for us to go inside. Let's grab something to eat.

Keith (while letting Anna go): Before heading in I have something to show you.

Anna (after Keith showed a container of blood): What's this?

Keith: I put some of my blood into this container and I want you to carry it with you just in case I'm not around when you need blood.

Anna: You should have waited until you fully recovered.

Keith: But I am. I'm walking on my own.

Anna (annoyed): You just saying that to make me feel better.

Keith: I'm not lying to you. (put the blood container on Anna's hand) I only made one but soon I'll make three more.

Anna (after sighing): Only make four. If you make more I'll be mad.

Keith: Okay. I hear you.

Yoruichi (from a distance after the blood container disappear): Anna, Keith what are you doing out here?

Anna (after Keith turns around to see Yoruichi and David): How do they always find us?

Keith: I have no clue.

Anna (in her mind after suddenly feeling pain in her back): What's this feeling?

Keith (looks at Anna when she grips her arm): Anna what's wrong? (when Anna fell to her knees) Anna.

David (near them after running with Yoruichi): Anna what's wrong?

Anna (in pain): It's my back. Something doesn't feel right.

David (walking to Anna's back): Forgive me.

Yoruichi (see black vein line from Anna's scar after David ripped the back of her shirt when Kieth made her coat disappear): What this?

Keith (looking at Anna's back): Anna got that scar while fighting my friend who was our enemy but we had our injuries treated. (in his mind) Maybe there was a bit left that wasn't removed and it spread over time.

Anna: It hurts so much.

David: Let's head to the medical room.

Keith (in his mind while picking Anna up in his arms): Try to hold on.

(medical room)

Doctor (see David walking in before Keith and Yoruichi enter): What's with the sudden appearance Captain David?

David: We need the antidote for the shadow poison.

Doctor (while Keith lay down pass out Anna on her side on a bedchair): But will it even work on Lieutenant Anna?

David: We'll see if it does.

Yoruichi: Are you going to use that new antidote?

Keith (look at Yoruichi and David): What new antidote?

David (holding a cutter knife): Instead of using an injection people here are trying to make the antidote a liquid that can directly be applied to the poison injury. I need you to lay Anna on her front side.

After Keith turns Anna to lean on her front side David makes a small cut on Anna's scar before taking a small cup of the antidote from Yoruichi to pour it on the cut. Anna immediately sat up in pain having her eyes glowing red but she didn't scream because she gripped the pillow instead.

David (cup empty while Anna lies on her side): That should remove the hidden poison.

Keith (see Anna's eyes return to normal): Feeling better? (touch each other forehead after Anna nods her head) You've done well.

Yoruichi (while putting the blanket on Anna): At least the addition works on an open cut and on a demon like Anna.

Keith (touches Anna's head while she sleeps): That small cut will instantly close on its own so there's no need to put a bandage on her.

Yoruichi (notice): Wait are you two...

Keith (rub the back of his head): Yeah. We're in a romantic relationship.

David: Congrats.

Keith: Thanks.

David: I know you want to stay by Anna's side right now but why not get something to eat first?

Keith: Okay. I'll join you but I can't be too long away from Anna.

Yoruichi (walking while Keith and David follow): That's fine. Now time for food!

Keith (in his mind after sensing someone's presence): Perfect timing Yurei.

Yurei (in Keith's mind while appearing near Anna's bed): Take your time Lord Keith. I'll watch Lady Anna until you return.

(Renji office)

Renji (sitting at his desk looking at a book): So how did it go?

Makoto (sitting on Renji's desk): It went well surprisingly. I thought she was going to punch me.

Renji: Well I was hoping she would punch you. (looking at Makoto) What are you thinking?

Makoto (while standing): If I ask you to join me to help Anna out. What would you say?

Renji (after closing his book): That's a dumb question. (while standing) I'll join you of course. Remember Shoto ask us to watch over Anna in secret if anything happens to him.

Makoto (while fist bumping Renji): And this time we'll be ready.

Renji (and Makoto smiling): To support Anna when she needs us.
