Journey of the Last Demon and the Female Lieutenant

Chapter 25

Keith (while walking making the lightning beam disappear to make his lance appear): If those dogs didn't attack me I was planning to fire the arrow in the air to release multiple fire beams.

Lieutenant three (walking with Keith after appearing from a tree): Don't get distracted.

Keith: I'm not. (ice spikes appear around them from the ground killing thirteen shadow samurais after they stop) So we're teaming up?

Lieutenant three: We are. However (while ice spikes disappear) is your magic always this fast?

Keith (look at lieutenant three): It's my demon instincts but since it's raining I thought it be easier to kill multiple enemies with ice.

Lieutenant three (throws ten daggers into the air hitting ten shadow birds): Now that Anna is still asleep the enemies should fear you now.

Lilly (from earpiece (behind Keith said anything)): Wave two is coming. Shadow soldier and minotars are on their way.

Lieutenant three (follow behind after Keith ran ahead): It looks like they're not holding back.

Keith (after a rocket hit far away): It's a battle to the death.

During the fight, more shadow monsters appear in larger groups killing more soldiers in each wave. However, at the base, the soldiers were dealing with shadow birds but after taking their time killing a few they suddenly released shadow spikes. Once those spikes hit a few soldiers they immediately turned into a shadow creature.

(further ahead from the gate)

Keith (just killed a shadow tiger): This is bad.

Lilly (see a dead soldier get turn into a shadow creature): Keith looks.

Keith (uses the buddle to make an ice spike freeze that zombie after holding his hand out): They are doing the same thing they did before.

Lilly (Keith aura increase while using her assault rifle): What's that?

Lieutenant three appeared to pull her to the ground covering his and Lilly's head. Keith spun around unleashing a circle attack of a wave of a lightning slash and icicle spikes.

Lieutenant three (after hearing tree falls): That was close.

Lilly (sitting up after Lieutenant three stood up): Thanks for the save.

Luitnenate three (after punching Keith's face once he turned him around): Remember who's around you. Not everyone can tell what you're about to do. You almost hurt Lilly.

Keith pushed Lieutenant three out of the way before an arrow broke his hairband but Lilly threw a grenade that set off near the monster. However, suddenly grenades were thrown from the enemy side setting off around Keith's side.

Keith (sitting up having his hair out while hearing the noise of explosions continues): Everyone still alive?

Lieutenant three (walking out from the bushes): I got sent flying.

Lilly (rubbing the back of her head while leaning on a tree): Me too.

Keith (running towards them after grabbing his lance): Sorry about earlier.

Lilly (Keith reaches her after she stands): It's alright. (touch Keith's shoulder) You remember the first fight you had with the shadow race in your time.

Keith: Yeah.

Lieutenant three (after standing near Keith and Lilly): Keith you have to return to the base immediately.

Keith (look at Lieutenant three): Why? (after noticing) Did they make their way into the base?

Lieutenant three: Yes. According to one of my scouts, the soldiers are getting turned into shadow zombies after getting hit by a shadow spike when they kill a shadow bird. I was also told that the captain heading to the laboratory.

Lilly (when Keith grips his fist): Leave it to us. We can deal with the fight here.

Lieutenant three: Lilly right. Right now the captain and Anna need you.

Keith (after releasing his grip): You two better not die. (while running off) Do you hear me?!

Lully (and Lieutenant three look at Keith after having some distance from him): That's a hard promise to keep second lieutenant.

Lieutenant three: All soldiers who are in squads one and three. I'll be taking command. If you wish to run then do so but if you wish to continue and fight. Then hold them back to protect our home and Anna!

Lilly (while soldiers cheer from the earpiece): Nice short speech.

Lieutenant three: Well I have a feeling this will be our last fight. Anyway, let's split up. I'll leave you to guide squad one.

Lilly (while nodding her head): Leave it to me sir.

Lieutenant three (in his mind while running to the left side): I wish I could repay you more often after the amount of times you saved me but I can finally have a chance to protect you.

Lilly (in her mind at the same time running to the right): Thanks to you Anna I was able to become strong like you after being looked down at my old base.

Lieutenant three and Lilly (in their mind while their still running): For us Anna you must continue living and in return, we'll do our best to stay alive so we can see your face one more time.

(firebase outside the gate)

Keith (stop in front of the gate): Oh no. The base is on fire. (in his mind) The rain lighten up at the wrong time.

Instead of going through the gate, Keith jumps to the side to land on the left side of the wall. Once he landed Keith sees the surviving soldiers fighting the shadow zombies.

(left wall)

Keith (in his mind looking at the laboratory building): Looks like they haven't reached the laboratory.

Keith soon jumped down taking a path that had fewer monsters blocking the way but he still had to fight his way through while trying to not get any attention.

(Laboratory)

Keith (after reaching the door): Jack.

Jack (looks at Keith while standing near the ice container holding a broken sword and left arm bleeding): Keith what are you doing here?

Keith (while walking towards Jack): The lieutenant of squad four told me to come here. (look at Jack's arm) Your injury doesn't look too bad.

Jack: Keith I need you to get out of here with Anna.
