Chapter 24

(night laboratory)

Keith (walking while seeing Jack and Lieutenant three look at the ice container): You two need to do a better job hiding your presence against me.

Jack: Humans have limits. As long as a fellow human can't sense us then we're fine. (touch the ice container) So Anna in here?

Keith: Yes. I'm trapping her unstable power in here so she can have it stable once again.

Lieutenant three (look at Keith): But you don't know how long it will take.

Keith: Correct. (after sighing) I don't have any knowledge about this.

Jack: Hopefully Anna wakes up before anything bad happens.

Keith: Don't worry I got her back. After all, Anna allowed me to protect her.

Jack and Lieutenant three (in their mind while seeing Keith look at the ice container): It's crazy how Keith and Shoto are so alike.

(Anna's mind)

Anna (sitting up after lying on the floor wearing a white knee-length dress with staps): Where am I?

Unknown girl's voice (from below): We finally get to meet.

When Anna looks down she sees a person that looks like the ghost she's been seeing a lot before being pulled into the water.

(in water)

Anna (look at the person): Who are you?

Sabrina (unknown girl (still holding Anna hard): My name is Sabrina. The owner of the eyes you have.

Sabrina has white waist-length hair that covers her left eye a bit, cat ears, red bat hair clip on the left side, red eyes and white demon wings with red inside. She's wearing a red middle-length corset dress but is long at the back with shoulder-off short sleeves, open back and white bats having two in the middle and one on the chest. Red middle-length gloves that hook around her middle finger with a white bat on that finger and red shoes with short heels that have a strap that reaches near her ankle with white bats in the middle of the cross.

Anna (while Sabrina pulls her close): You're the ghost.

Sabrina (smiling): That's right. (hugging Anna once close) Don't worry I won't (while her wings cover them) hurt you.

(six days later on a rainy day in the laboratory building)

Keith (walking in wearing a cloak while taking his hood off): What bad weather.

Lieutenant three (look at Keith): The weather has a mind of its own.

Keith: Sorry for having you watch Anna while I'm away.

Lieutenant three: It's alright. (start walking while Keith takes his cloak off) Well, see you later.

Keith (in his mind touching the ice container while holding his cloak after Lieutenant three left): Your aura has gotten even weaker. Is it a sign that you'll be waking up soon?

Lilly (after a screen appears near Keith): Lieutenant Keith the captain wants to see you.

Keith (move his hand after sighing): Let the captain know I'm on my way. (in his mind while the screen disappears) Duty calls.

Alarm (when Keith is just about to take a step): Warning all squads. Get ready for battle.

(outside laboratory)

Keith (in his mind while running): Something isn't right.

(Jack's office)

Soldier (after a screen appears on Jack's desk while he looks at the window): Sir the second lieutenant of unit one wants to speak to you. He said it's urgent

Jack (while turning around): Then put him through.

Keith (after the screen change): Sorry I didn't come to you directly but I just looked at the data of the alarm. The information that we were given was wrong. The shadow monsters are sending out an army.

Jack (shock): Oh no. (after standing) I'll leave your squad orders to you so leave the other squads to me.

Keith: Yes sir.

Jack (after the screen disappears): I must protect Anna in Keith's stead.

(squad one base)

Keith (after entering): Is everyone ready to move out?

Lilly (pass a towel after running over): Yes. (while Keith dries his hair) I also sent a few people to protect the laboratory.

Keith: Thanks. (looking at the other soldiers) Listen up! This battle will be tough but let's do our best to protect the base.

All soldiers (but Lilly): Yeah!

Lilly (after the building shake): Looks like the enemy started their attack.

Keith: Everyone to battle!

Lilly (while the soldiers move out): Keith you have a call.

Keith (look at Lilly): From who?

Lilly: From the commander of the second squad.

Keith (while taking the earpiece out of his pocket after sighing): Leave him to me. Begin the counterattack.

Lilly (while saluting): Sir.

Keith (after putting his earpiece on while Lilly left): Make it quick we're fighting to win.

lieutenant one (from earpiece): Listen here demon. (Keith starts walking) I don't want to talk to you either but I'm telling you that my squad will stay inside the base to support your squad.

Keith (smiling): While my team deal with the monsters outside the gate. Not a bad idea human.

(outside the wall)

Once Keith reaches the gate he sees everyone fighting different types of shadow creatures while the second unit covers their back by using machine guns from the walls.

Keith (in his mind while lifting his arms to the air at the same time a lightning bow appears): I promise you, Anna. (eyes glow after an arrow appears when he pulls the trigger) I will survive so we can fight together.

Lilly (from Keith's earpiece): Keith watch out!

When the shadow dogs reached Keith he jumped before pointing the bow in front of him.  Releasing the arrow that turns into a lightning beam destroying the shadow dogs and other types of monsters behind them.
