Chapter 43

Anna charged ahead to unleash a slash with her right sword so Keith blocked the attack pushing Anna to the side. After landing she turned around quickly throwing her sword but when Keith knocked that sword away a fire beam rushed towards him once he looked up. Right before Anna's attack reached him Keith used his lightning to quickly dodge to the side making the beam hit a tree near Sosuke.

Sabrina (in Keith's mind while Anna charges once the blade closes): What are you doing Keith? You have to fight back.

Keith (in his mind while blocking Anna's attack): I don't want to hurt Anna.

Sabrina: But you're going to die.

Anna kicked Keith in the stomach making him slide back once he landed. Anna jumped in the air and threw three fire spikes but Keith countered by throwing three ice spikes before using the river water to push Anna to the ground.

Keith (in his mind while running): All I need to do is to knock Anna out. Then I can deal with Sosuke.

Sosuke (while Anna stands): Now change into your other form.

Keith and Sabrina (in their mind): Oh no.

After turning into her demon eye form Anna jumped in the air having her wings appear before unleashing a vertical slash. Once Keith's handle split in half when Anna landed she unleashed her second attack but Keith's body broke into ice after stabbing his chest.

Sosuke: He disappears. Go find Keith and make sure to come back with his head.

Anna: Yes my lord. (in her mind after flying away) I can't disobey but I will find a way to regain control.

(deep in the forest)

Keith (leaning on a tree): That was close.

Sabrina (in Keith's mind): At least you have some time to think.

Keith: Now that she's in her other form I'm running out of options. I might have to use that but I'm afraid.

Sabrina: What are you more afraid of? Losing Anna or your senses?

Keith: Anna of course.

Sabrina: Then accept that beast. You can keep it sealed but use some of that seal power to have a fighting chance.

Yurei (in Keith's mind): She's coming.

Keith (in his mind while summoning his sheath katana in front of him): It's time to overcome my other self.

Suddenly from the corner of his eyes, he sees Anna in mid-air about to unleash an attack but he quickly grabs his katana and unsheaths it to block her attack. When their blades touched Keith was sent flying into the open.

(open area)

Keith (in his mind after landing while holding his katana): That was close.

Katana's voice (in Keith's mind while Anna flies towards him): So you decided not to let me take over your body?

Keith (blocking Anna's attack): Not this time. Listen here other me I need you to return my skills.

Katana's voice (when Keith and Anna hold the block after blocking the tenth attack): What's with the sudden change? Is it for that half-breed?

Keith (pushing Anna back before continuing to block each other attacks): Not just for her. I'm mainly doing it for myself.

Katana's voice: You better be careful using that side.

After breaking their block again Keith's katana releases an aura that enters his body before he suddenly appears in front of Anna making both of their attacks clash.

(distance tree)

Sosuke (in his mind standing on a tree branch after walking out of the shadow): I see you return to your true abilities. How will this end?

(near a river)

While fighting Keith just landed to do a one-hand back walkover to dodge Anna fire ball attack making him land on the river. Anna flies down having her fist covered in wind but Keith jumps away having her attack hit where he was standing. Once the river rose Keith made the water swell around Anna before turning the swell water into an ice orb.

Keith (standing near the river): Please work.

When Keith raised his arm he suddenly stopped before seeing a light inside the ice orb watching it melt.

Keith (in his mind seeing Anna floating having glowing red eyes without her armour): So this is the power behind Anna's mind control.

While Anna floated to the ground Keith fell to his knees after his katana disappeared. Once close Anna raised her arms so Keith watched her unleash a vertical slash but she suddenly stopped before the blade reached his face.

Sosuke (appears a few steps away behind Anna while Keith sees Anna's hands shake): What are you doing? Kill him.

Keith (in his mind after Anna teardrop land on his cheek): Anna.

Anna moved her lips saying nothing from her voice before raising her sword to stab herself in the heart shocking Keith and Sosuke.

Sosuke (in his mind after Anna falls to the ground lying on her side having her wings disappear): How could she break the mind control?

Keith (hugs Anna after lifting her upper body): I can see why you apologise. (tears fall) You took your own life to break the mind control.

Sosuke (holding a slime gun while pointing it to Keith): Oh well. She must have given up her life to save a weak friend. How sad.

Keith (looks at Sosuke with dull eyes while his aura rises at the same time Anna's sword disappears): How dare you talk bad to the person who wanted to help me save your life.

Sosuke: So long Keith.

When Sosuke pressed the trigger he fired a bullet that immediately turned into a huge shadow orb. Keith knew he wasn't able to avoid the attack because of the size but when Anna opened her eyes a bit a symbol suddenly appeared underneath them.

Sosuke (mad while seeing phantoms around them after the dust disappears): What are you doing here?

Yurei (next to Keith while the other phantoms disappear): To protect my Lord and Lady.

Keith (look at Yurei with normal eyes while his aura calms down): Did Sabrina ask you to come here?

Anna (while turning into her demon eye second form): No I did.
