Chapter 87

(ground a few distance from the base)

Makoto (after shooting a couple of bullets at a few shadow creatures): Think they'll be okay?

Yukimaru (after just unleashing two light-distance slashes): That's hard to say since the Shadow King is stronger than us.

Makoto (firing more bullets while he and Yukimaru step back): How many times are they going to multiply?

Makoto's sword opened so he could unleash a horizontal slash beam while Yukimaru unleashed a cross-light beam slash. However, more shadow creatures kept rising from the ground charging towards them but suddenly fire bats flow by soon exploding at different areas before Yoruichi appears by landing near Makoto and Yukimaru covering them in her fire wings. That allows Renji, David and Sabrina to kill the remaining creatures.

Yukimaru (while Yoruichi's wings open): Perfect timing as always.

Yoruichi (while her wings disappear at the same time Sarbina float down towards them): I may be all about my fist but I know when someone needs help.

Makoto (look at Sabrina): Thanks for the support.

Sabrina: You're welcome.

Yoruichi (looking towards the forest seeing smoke): Sabrina go help them

Sabrina: But Anna ordered me to stay here.

Yukimaru (touch Sabrina Shoudler): We'll be fine on our own.

Sabrina (after sighing): Alright then. (while stepping back before her wings appear) You all better stay alive (at the same time she flies off) when we're back.

(Forest)

Keith and Anna have been unleashing attacks making the Shadow King stay on the defensive but when Anna was about to unleash a straight attack she saw the small shadow orb moving around her.

Anna (in her mind while the orbs are slowly about to explode): Not these things again.

At the last second Keith grabbed Anna by her hip to pull her away from the impact but when he landed a symbol appeared immediately setting off. They got sent flying making them drop their weapons before hitting separate trees.

Shadow King (while watching Keith and Anna stand): Your dog is so loyal. Doing everything to protect his master.

Anna suddenly appears in front of the Shadow King holding a katana to unleash a vertical slash but when the Shadow King blocks he can see Anna's dim eyes. However, his sword broke in half sending him sliding backwards however once the Shadow King stopped Keith was suddenly at his side covered in lightning. Keith unleashed an upper punch below the Shadow King's face sending him a few distance away.

Keith (while the lightning disappears): I may look like a dog but no one is allowed to call me that. (look at Anna) Are you alright?

Anna (smiling with her eyes normal): After doing what we just did. I feel much better. (after two separate symbols suddenly appear underneath them) What's this?

Keith (and Anna try to move their feet): No use. Seems like we can't move out of this weird symbol.

Shadow chains came out of the symbol wrapping around their body making Anna and Keith feel their magic being locked before slowly being pulled into the symbol. Sabrina just arrived seeing them struggling so when she flew down Anna tried to hold her hand out but Sabinra wasn't able to grab Anna's hand in time.

Sabrina (after landing once the symbol disappears): Dam it. (in her mind gripping her first) If only I was a bit faster. (while seeing more shadow creatures appear around her) I have to get back to Yukimaru and the others. (at the same time summoning her rapier) To make sure they don't get taken away.

(unknown dark area)

Anna (after sitting up when she opens her eyes): Where am I?

Shoto (smiling while holding his hand out): Anna comes with us. My older brother and I will protect you.

Anna (in her mind while reaching her hand out): This is how I first met Shoto and Yukimaru.

When Anna was about to grab Shoto's hand the area changed being covered in fire. She suddenly saw Keith's dead body on the floor making Anna stand up screaming.

Makoto (from the background): It's your fault he's dead.

Renji (from the background): You can't even protect the one you love. How sad.

Yukimaru (from the background): We put our trust in you but you fail on protecting the world.

Yoruichi (from the background): I can't believe I was friends with you.

Lilly (from the background): Keith doesn't deserve this.

Anna (after falling to her knees): This isn't fair. (while tears drop from her eyes) I never wanted him to die! (in her mind looking at her hand while it glows) I'll just give him my heart so he can keep on living.

When Anna was about to put her hand in her chest two people suddenly grabbed her wrist from behind changing the area into a dimension effect.

Shizuka (after slapping Anna's face while being on one knee in front of her): What's wrong with you? Even if Keith actually died he would never want you to give your own life to him.

Anna (with lifeless eyes): You are lying.

Shoto (after standing next to Shizuka): Anna! I didn't throw my life away when I died on that day. I went down fighting until I couldn't even move. Do you think your beloved would die that easily before returning to you? (point to Anna's pendant) Everyone's hope is in that pendant remember.

Anna (look at her pendant while her eyes return to normal): That's right. Everyone put their belief in me. (grabbing her pendant) They know Keith and I can win.

Shoto (and Shizuka smile): Remember what you have been taught and never give up.

Keith (from background): Anna!

Shizuka (smiling): You should get going.

(dimension battle arena)

Keith (holding Anna's upper body while on one knee seeing her eyes open): Thank goodness. (hugging Anna) Don't scare me like that.

Anna (tapping Keith back): I can't breathe.

Keith (after letting Anna go): Sorry.

Anna: What happened?

Keith (while Anna sits up): After being pulled into the symbol I was stuck in a terrible dream but somehow someone guided me out.

Anna: Same here. (in her mind while looking at her pendant) Did Shoto and Shizuka save us?
