Chapter 23

Lieutenant three (Jack behind Keith while Lieutenant two walk towards them): Is Anna losing control?

Keith: I don't think it's that. Her aura is out of control now. (in Anna's mind) Hopefully, this will ease your pain.

Lieutenant two (standing next to Lieutenant three after Keith uses lightning to shock Anna): Keith what did you do?

Keith: I knock Anna out before she loses control. (look at Jack) Can you tell me where the laboratory is?

Jack (Keith stands while carrying Anna): I'm surprised you know what that is.

Keith: Anna told me a bit about the laboratory but we're in a rush.

Lieutenant three (standing): I'll take you.

Lieutenant one (while standing): Why not just let that monster lose control?

Keith (slams Lieutenant one face to the wall after suddenly appearing while still carrying Anna): Because you all would die and I'm the only one who can stop her.

Jack (touch Keith's shoulder): Leave him to me. I need you to help Anna.

Keith (after sighing): Alright. (in Lieutenant three minds) Let's go.

Lieutenant one (after Lieutenant three and Keith left): Thank you, captain.

Jack (showed an angry facial expression after stabbing one of his swords near the lieutenant one face): You seriously need to fix that mouth of yours. You almost got killed twice today by Anna and Keith. (pulls his sword out) If you don't fix yourself I may kill you myself or kick you out of the base.

Lieutenant one (in his mind while Jack turned around to walk away): I've never seen the captain this scary.

(Laboratory)

Professer boss (the water container gets filled up with water while Anna is inside without her coat on): You sure the lieutenant won't die?

Keith (holding Anna's coat): I'm sure.

Lieutenant three (while Keith freezes the container by using one hand): So what's happening to Anna?

Keith: I think the two separate auras of Anna and the demon eyes are finally becoming one. The owner of the demon eyes will make sure Anna won't die until the transformation is complete.

Professor Boss (while looking at Anna's condition): Have you seen this happen before?

Keith: No but while Anna was recovering. I sense something off and before arriving at the meeting Anna asks me to check her aura.

Lieutenant three: So that's when you knew her magic was off.

Professor Boss (after Keith nods his head at the lieutenant): People with magic must have a stable aura flow or they'll have no control. However, Anna has two auras to keep her stable.

Keith: Her own and the demon eye aura?

Professor Boss (passes Keith a tablet): From the research we gathered from Anna. We found out that her transformation in battle combines the two separate auras.

Lieutenant three: How interesting.

Keith (pass the tablet back): Keep me updated.

Professor Boss: Yes sir.

(sunset outside laboratory building)

Keith (while walking): Now I have to explain this situation to the team.

Lutienate three (next to Keith): I've never seen you look so worried.

Keith: I had no idea this would happen today.

Lieutenant three: Do you think it was that form's fault that Anna became like this?

Keith: So your scout did tell you?

Lieutenant three: Yes. However, I'll keep it hidden and tell her once she reveals it to everyone else.

Keith: Thank you.

Lieutenant three: But that shadow you fought...

Keith (interrupting): Is my friend who kept me in that ice cube. Now that I have his power and that we know we're both alive. We'll now be fighting until one of us dies.

Lieutenant three (touches Keith's shoulder after they stop): Don't think about your future battles right now.

Keith (touches Lieutenant three hands): Right now I'm more thinking about Anna's future.

(squad one headquarters)

Keith (entering while seeing the soldiers at the table): Good you're all here. (when the soldiers were about to stand) No, you can stay sitting.

Lilly (walking to Keith while he walks to the middle): Second Lieutenant Keith what's going on with Anna? When I asked they said I have no right to know.

Keith: The reason I'm here is about Anna. She'll be out of duty until she wakes up.

Lilly (a few meters in front of Keith): So the thing we were told about is happening?

Keith: This makes it a lot easier since you all were warned about it ahead of time. (bowing) I know I'm asking a lot but please trust me until Anna wakes up. I know you listen to me because of Anna and only know me for a few months but I promise to do my best.

Lilly: Keith please raise your head. (Keith sees everyone bowing to him after he raises his head) We would like to thank you for helping Anna after joining. Before we followed because you had a higher rank. However, we gave you our respect after saving and spending time with us.

All the soldiers (saluting after raising their heads): We'll do our best to support you, second lieutenant!

(outside building)

Lieutenant three (taking a peak with Jack): Shoto left Anna with good people.

Jack: Don't forget Lilly help too. She's still helping Anna with a few things to this day.

Lieutenant three: Like relaxing on her breaks?

Keith (in the lieutenant and Jack's mind): Need something?

Jack (in Keith's mind): I would like to talk to you about Anna.

Keith: I'll meet you in the laboratory.
