Chapter 38

Keith (puts the top half of the dress back on while hearing Anna sighs): Everything alright?

Anna: Sabrina said she'll be away for a few days to help Yurei out.

Keith: At least you get some peace.

Anna: True.

(two days later)

Anna (sitting on her bed holding Yurei's diary wearing her outside outfit having her plimsols off): Hey Keith I found something strange.

Keith (sitting on Anna's bed wearing his outside outfit having her leg on his lap while releasing a cold breeze from his hand): What that?

Anna (after the book floats in front of Keith): According to what Yurei wrote down the people who were taken over by the black blob came together and bowed in front of the meteor.

Keith (look at the photo): That's a good photo. Getting a shot of when the meteor didn't glow so much that it covered the shadow creatures.

Anna: Doesn't the glow look like the shadow monster's aura and Sosuke's eyes?

Keith (while the book floats to Anna's hand): Now that you say that. While in the shadow realm, the sky had a northern light elf green aurora.

Anna: Maybe it's their logo. Having their aura like a northern light aurora but that's might my hunch.

Keith (breeze disappears after Anna's bandage is covered in ice): Your ankle should be feeling better now.

Anna (while noticing something down on the page using a different colour): Thanks for doing that.

Keith (book disappears when Anna close it): Your ankle wouldn't be hurting if you didn't walk on it so much.

Anna (moves her leg at the same time her plimsol appears): Are you telling me off after numbing the pain?

Ship captain (from speakers when Anna stands): All passengers please stay in your rooms. We pick up monsters on the raider so please remain calm.

Keith (summon a lance after standing): Time for work.

(deck)

Man (after seeing Anna and Keith walk out): Didn't you hear what the captain said? All guest must stay in their room.

Anna (demon eyes appear while releasing a faint aura): All members of this ship. Go to a safe room until I say you can leave.

All man (having red eyes): Yes mam.

Keith (while the ship members walk inside): That ability makes things so much easier to have the humans listen without questioning us.

Anna (eyes return to normal): I'm not sure how long it will last for.

The ship suddenly shakes making Anna and Keith go on one knee before five mini portals appear from the sky having shadow samurias appear. Anna touches the floor sending the group into the air before lightning strikes kill them immediately. However, when they stand the portals reappear dropping another wave but right before the portals disappear Anna throws a fire spike in one of the portals and immediately makes it explode.

Anna: I think each portal is controlled by a single witch.

Keith (see the group running at them): I'll deal with the waves. Can you back me up while dealing with the portals?

Anna (bow appears in her hand): Of course. It's almost like each battle we have (pull the string) allows me to test out new skills.

Three fire arrows appear and after releasing them Keith raises his lance controlling the water to turn it into a bubble. Anna immediately made her arrows hit the water bubbles creating a heavy mist making the shadow group stop. With their glowing eyes, Keith charged in using his lightning magic to attack up close.

Anna (in her mind after destroying another two portals while using fire aura eyes): Using fire sight makes things so clear to see. (after seeing Keith get pushed off the ship with a samurai) Keith!

While hearing the shadow samurai charge towards her she started running to them quickly changing her bow into two swords at the same time her eyes turned into her demon eyes. Before reaching them she suddenly appears on the other side but when her foot touches the ground multiple slashes appear making the enemies disappear.

Anna (breathing after her eyes return to normal): I didn't mean to hold my breath.

When the last two portals appear behind her she turns around making her blades open to fire a fire beam before any more shadow samurai come out. The ship soon shakes again before a shadow snake appears from the water but when Anna looks at the snake she sees Keith hanging on by using a dagger while having his hair out.

Anna (in her mind watching the snake trying to shake Keith off): They can breath underwater.

Keith suddenly released a huge amount of lightning creating a bright light but that made everyone cover their eyes. However, while the snake continued moving Keith was sent flying and after he hit the deck the snake was about to eat him but fire spikes appeared around Keith stabbing through the snake's mouth.

Anna (in her mind lowering her free hand while walking): I thought I had gotten stronger but I still relied on magic to save someone besides using my strength.

Keith (in Anna's mind while sitting up after the spikes disappear): Don't put yourself down. Over time you will get better.

Anna (lightly runs to Keith while her sword disappears at the same time Keith stands): Are you alright?

Keith (rubs his head): Besides the pain in my head from the fall. I'm alright.

Anna: But you release so much of your lightning. I thought...

Keith (rubs Anna's head): Using my own lightning at that power would only knock me out. It won't kill me.

Anna (after sighing): Once we talk to the captain you're resting.

Keith (move his hand): Okay. Sorry for worrying you.

Anna (turns around clicking one of her fingers): It's fine. At least I know you'll be fine the next time.

Keith (walks next to Anna when she walks): What's with the click?

Anna: It's a way to end the mind control instead of switching to use my other eyes.

Keith: Interesting. (in his mind) Anna must have made that on her own.

(control room)

Captain: I wonder what that light was about.

Anna (entering after the door opens): That was us.

Captain (looks at Anna and Keith): You travellers know how to fight?

Keith: Of course. That's the only way to survive in this crazy world.
