Chapter 26

Keith: Why? We can still win with my help.

Jack: I'm sorry but I accepted this fate however I won't go down without a fight. (touch the ice container after dropping the broken sword) You two have been fighting all your life and never had the experience of a normal life.

Keith (tied a bandage on Jack's arm): I understand what you are saying but you can't decide what Anna's fate should be. If she wishes to continue fighting, I'll support her as her friend.

Jack: I'll have everyone help keep the monster's attention on us while you escape. (pass a key) Take this.

Keith (after taking the key): Why are you giving me a key?

Jack (start walking): You'll find out. This base has many secret exits but the one in my office is the safest way. (in his mind while running) I wish you both a safe journey.

Keith (touch the ice container after Jack left): It's time to leave Anna.

Keith used his lightning to break the container before catching the sleeping Anna once his weapon disappeared. After carrying Anna on his back Keith put the key in his pocket before feeling a folded piece of paper.

Keith (after unfolding the paper when he took it out): He gave me two clues. (in his mind smiling while putting the paper away) One for the key and another for the exit. (after he starts walking) There's a lot of blood in the air meaning a lot of soldiers have died.

(sunset Jack office)

Keith (while putting Anna on the chair): That was easier than I thought. I expected to fight on the way here. (in his mind looking at Anna while grabbing the piece of paper) At least Anna's magic aura is stable but how is she still asleep when there's so much noise?

Jack's voice (while Keith read the paper): The key unlocks something near my desk and the hidden passage is somewhere on the bookshelf.

Keith: These are bad clues for these situations.

Keith started looking around the desk but he soon looked at the wall that had a sword holder because Keith remembered seeing something small underneath Jack's weapons.

Keith (after looking closely at the sword holders): Not a bad spot for a lock. (in his mind while using the key) However, why give me a key to something you're hiding? (shocked after pulling the square door open) Money.

Jack's voice (after Keith picks up another piece of paper): I had this money saved for you. I was planning to give it to you on your next day off but it should come in handy now.

Keith (use a symbol to make the money disappear): That's a lot of money for one person. (in his mind while closing the square door) Must be paying me for my work. (after sensing something) I think I found the next clue.

Keith picked Anna up to carry her in his arms before walking to the bookshelf. His eyes glowed a bit allowing him to see which book had an outline aura and after finding it Keith pulled the book hearing a click. That one shelf opened in words revealing a light path however when he entered the shelf close behind him.

(Forest)

Keith (after walking out of a tree branch): A secret passage to the forest? (in his mind) Maybe Jack used it to take a break or have a sneak peek of the battle.

Keith suddenly sensed strong magic but when he was going to look at the sky the ground shook before a strong wind blew by. After opening his eyes Keith turned seeing the base destory. He was about to take a step towards the base but Keith ran the other direction after remembering what Jack said to him at the laboratory.

(night cabin room near a lake)

Keith (while lying Anna on the bed): Good thing I found this cabin for the night. (in his mind looking at the window after walking away from the bed) I want to go back to see what happened but... (at the same time turning around) This aura. (after freezing) Can't move.

Sabrina (from Anna's body (while sitting up having her eyes glow a bit with sharp pupils )): Someone at your rank got frozen by a single look. I thought we were the same but I must be a bit stronger.

Keith: Who are you and why are you in Anna's body?

Sabrina (sitting on the edge of the bed while losing her tie): Don't worry Keith. (undoing the top two buttons) I'm not here to harm you.

Keith (notice the familiar aura): Are you the owner of the demon eyes?

Sabrina (crossed one of her legs after Keith was able to move): My name is Sabrina. Nice to meet you.

Keith: How do you know my name?

Sabrina: I share Anna's memories from when she first opened her demon eyes.

Keith: Are you the one who made Anna go crazy during the meeting?

Sabrina (releases an angry aura): I would never. All I've done is watch over Anna until this day happens.

Keith: Are you the one who calls for those phantoms?

Sabrina: Yes. That was me.

Keith (after sighing): I'm surprised a demon soul like you survives the war when the shadow race attacks.

Sabrina: Actually I decided to kill myself.

Keith: Why?

Sabrina: During the human war they created weapons that stop my kind from healing our own injuries. My side of course won but I was the last one standing. (showing a gentle smile) I was getting bored of fighting so I thought it was the right time to end my own life.

Keith: Before your soul woke up in Anna's body. However, I thought vampires couldn't die so easily.

Sabrina: When did you find out I was a vampire?

Keith: No one can use psychics to control someone's body. I saw Anna use it for a few times.

Sabrina: I'm one of those rare types of demons.

Keith: The unknown demons?

Sabrina (surprise): You know about them?

Keith: I heard about them. I was told the unknown demons are fused between two demons.

Sabrina: Not many know about them because it's hard to get noticed until you tell someone.

Keith: So why are you making an appearance now?
