Chapter 34

Keith suddenly disappears but Sosuke turns around in time having a slime sword formed blocking Keith's surprise attack. While holding the block Sosuke notices that Keith's eyes are dim reminding him about the past before pushing Keith away. After landing Keith disappeared unleashing multiple attacks but Sosuke was able to block a few while taking a few hits.

Sosuke (in his mind while blocking each attack): I don't even sense magic. All I sense is the aura to kill.

(past hospital)

Kid Sosuke (looking at injured Kid Keith sleeping on a bed): Master how did Keith get like this?

Teacher: My only guess is that his soul found the perfect weapon that is his strength but could be his deadly weapon.

Kid Sosuke: So what's your plan?

Teacher: I'll give Keith a different weapon to master and give him a separate lesson on how to master the katana.

Kid Sosuke: Alright.

(present)

When Sosuke jumped back to dodge Keith's attack he entered his shadow before shadow chains wrapped around Keith's neck, wrist and ankles. Keith tries to destroy the chain with his lightning but a shadow sword comes flying down from a symbol above however it  instantly got frozen.

Sosuke (in his mind while on a tree seeing Keith holding his hand out on the sword tip): I see. He's able to freeze my shadow chains.

From that same hand, Keith released lightning destroying the shadow sword before he made a lightning lance appear in that hand to throw it at the tree Sosuke standing on. Sosuke jumped off the tree right before it fell but with one blink Keith appeared in front of Sosuke and immediately grabbed his face to slam it on the ground.

Sosuke (in his mind after Keith moves his hand while lying on a dent floor): I forgot how strong he is. (watch Keith raise his sword while above him) Is this the (while closing his eyes) end?

Keith (in his mind while pointing his blade toward the neck): Finally I can set his soul free but why am I hesitating?

Sosuke (grabs the blade with one hand having yellow eyes): Please Keith.

Keith (shocked having normal eyes): Sosuke.

Sosuke eyes immediately went back to elf green before the sword turned into a smile hand pushing Keith to the air. After letting Keith go a shadow bird grabs his shoulders before doing a back flip to throw him to the ground. Once he hit the ground Keith stands up having three opposite diagonal long cuts on both shoulders.

Keith (in his mind holding his katana): Was that an illusion?

Suddenly the ground shook having a couple of slime snakes came out underneath Keith holding him a few distance from the ground. When ice smoke appears on Keith free hand the snakes bite him at different areas of his body making Keith feel like his magic was locked away.

Keith (in his mind after dropping his katana): What did these snakes do to me? I can't use my magic.

Keith suddenly coughed out blood once a shadow spike stabbed his stomach but when the spike disappeared Keith dropped to the ground.

Sosuke (walking to Keith while his katana disappears): I'm surprised that the owner of this body woke up. (seeing Keith's fingers move a bit) I should kill you before you're able to move.

Anna (from a distance): Not on my watch.

When Sosuke was about to turn to the side Anna grabbed his face and slam it to the ground. But the impact was so strong the force lifted Sosuke's body allowing Anna to kick him away.

Keith (in his mind while lying on his side): How did she get here?

Anna (in her mind being in her demon eye form while her wings close and holding a sword): I need to get Keith out of here right now.

When Anna ran to Keith she was suddenly stopped after being pulled by a slime whip that wrapped around her neck. While being pulled Anna threw her sword in the air before using her psychic to make the sword hit Sosuke's leg making him let go of the whip.

Yurei (in Anna's mind): What would you like me to do?

Anna (in her mind): Protect Keith. I need time to separate my magic.

Sabrina (in Anna's mind): Are you using that?

Anna: I'm not. I just need to make some time.

Sosuke (after pulling out Anna's sword): How did you enter here?

Anna (summons two swords after the other sword in Sosuke's hand disappears): Someone taught me another way to enter the shadow realm without using a portal.

When Anna moved her foot a bit fire spikes from the ground charged at Sosuke but he jumped to the side to unleash an upper vertical shadow slash. Anna made a small wind tornado appear on herself to block Sosuke's attack. After looking at each other they started running but Anna made ten mini fireballs appear behind her back before they were immediately released. Sosuke made his blade into a whip cutting half of the fireballs while he dodged the rest and after running a bit more he unleashed an attack but Anna jumped in the air to dodge.

Anna (in her mind while fire appears on one of her swords): I can't have you both kill each other. (grip the handle) I will find a way to return you to your senses.

Anna threw the fire sword but Sosuke knocked it away in time making it disappear in mid-air. However, once close their attack clashed sending a strong force of wind but the group of phantoms shielded Keith.

(far away inside phantom barrier)

Keith (after sitting up): Yurei be honest with me. How did you get here?

Yueri (near Keith): I taught Lady Anna how to connect the two worlds in her mind to form a teleport symbol. However, how are you still able to move from those bites and that injury on your stomach?

Keith: This is nothing. (cough a bit) The snakes just block my magic.

Yurei (in his mind after Keith spits out blood to the side): I have to tell Lady Anna.

(ahead)

Sosuke (in his mind while countering each other attacks): I can't tell but there's something different about her.

Anna (in her mind): I can see that my eyes are able to keep up with this crazy speed.

Yurei (in Anna's mind when they just hold a block): Sorry to disturb you Lady Anna but Lord Keith need emergency treatment.

Anna (eyes glow): Remember I'm not here to fight Sosuke. (force increase making the ground dent) Everything is ready to get out of here but it will send us to an unknown location.
