Chapter 46 {season 2}

(sunset one week later snow mountain base room)

Anna (in her mind after waking up in her normal form): Where am I? (after sitting up) Did I lose my eyes?

Sabrina (in Anna's mind): Calm down. You didn't lose your eyes.

Anna: Sabrina. (after touching the bed) I'm on a bed (while touching a blindfold) but why am I wearing a blindfold?

Anna suddenly heard a door open so when she summoned a gun to point it at the door Anna stopped herself from pulling the trigger after sensing a familiar aura.

Anna: Keith is that you?

Keith (at the door wearing his soldier outfit): It's me. Can you put your gun away?

Anna (Keith closes the door while her gun disappears): Keith where am I and why am I wearing a blindfold?

Keith (walking to Anna): You can take it off. (cat ears appear once Anna took the blindfold off) We're in a military base and that blindfold was able to hide your cat ears from the humans.

Sabrina (in their mind while Keith sits on a chair): That was my doing. For now, why not keep it on like before so you can keep your secret hidden?

Anna: Good idea. (look at Keith) Since you are wearing your uniform does it mean you just finished talking to this base captain?

Keith: That's right.

Anna: What did you find out?

Keith: Every captain knows that our base was destroyed. This captain asked if we wanted to join them but I said we were on a journey. The captain said they'd take our license but they change their mind saying we could keep them to help other people.

Anna: That was nice of them.

Keith: I have a message.

Anna: From the captain?

Keith (after nodding his head): While here we have permission to work along being our own group.

Anna: Didn't the captain find you suspicious?

Keith: Before we even started the conversation, they said they wouldn't harm me.

Anna: That's good. By now I have a feeling the other captains know you after Jack reported you to the general.

Keith: Maybe.

Anna: By the way how are you holding up?

Keith: I'm fine. I'm able to change my eyes into shadow eyes.

Anna: Shadow eyes?

Keith: It's what Sabrina called them. Sosuke's gift gave me the ability to use slime magic but without the shadow eyes, I can only do simple things.

Anna: You'll get a hang of it soon. Anyway, I think we should leave tomorrow.

Keith: Actually we're staying until you recover. You still have a fever. Now the Shadow King has arrived we have to rethink our plan.

Anna: You have a point.

Sabrina: You both need to rest and this is the only time you can for now.

Anna (after sighing): Okay but we're leaving once we have a plan.

Keith: Alright. (standing) Get some more sleep I'll be back tomorrow with your meal.

Anna (while Keith walks away): Night Keith.

Keith (looks at Anna after opening the door): Goodnight Anna.

Anna (after lying down when Keith turns the light off and closes the door): Sabrina I might be wrong but is Keith making us stay because of my illness?

Sabrina (in Anna's mind showing her spirit from while sitting on Anna's bed): Please understand. He knows he's being overprotective because he's worried about your illness.

Anna: By the way Sabrina why are you wearing that outfit instead of the first outfit I saw you in?

Sabrina: Because I like to wear this for now on. Plus it's easy to fight in.

Anna: I see. (look at Sabrina) Sabrina if I said I wanted to be a full demon what would you say?

Sabrina (touch the side of Anna's cheek): You should really get some sleep. We'll talk about that another day with Keith. (in her mind after Anna fell asleep) Anna, why do you want to be a full demon? Could it be that you want to get stronger or is it to get rid of your illness?

(two days later captain's office)

Captain (after hearing a knock on the door while at their desk): You can come in.

Anna (walking in wearing her blindfold and soldier outfit after opening the door): Sorry for bothering you.

Captain (standing): Anna you sure you should be out of bed? Your fever was high.

Anna (smiling while near the desk): I'll be fine. My body is used to getting sick easily. Not to be rude but can you tell me your name since this is the first time we are meeting?

Captain: Take a seat first. A sick person shouldn't stand on their feet for too long.

Anna (while they sit down): Thank you.

Yoruichi (captain): My name is Yoruichi. I thought Keith would have told you.

Anna: He wanted me to concentrate on recovering. However, while we are here me and Keith will do our best to help you since you were so kind to help us.

Yoruichi: We soldiers have to help each other and that includes Keith.

Anna (while standing): I know not every captain won't accept Keith but I'm happy you did.

Yoruichi: You leaving already?

Anna: Yeah. I just came here to meet you.

Yoruichi: You still look tired. Don't push yourself.

Anna: I won't.

(hallway)

Anna (in her mind while walking): I wonder how the captains and the general would react once they saw what I actually look like?

Keith (in Anna's mind): What are you doing out of bed?

Anna (after Keith catches her by the hip after tripping): Done patrolling?

Keith: Yes. (after picking Anna up in his arms) You went and talked to Yoruichi?

Anna (while Keith start walking): You never told me me the captain was a female.

Keith: Once your fever was gone I was going to introduce you to Yoruichi but you're so impatient.

Anna: I didn't want to stay in bed all day again.

Keith (after sighing): Can you wait for me next time if you want to take a walk?

Anna: Alright.
