Chapter 29

Keith started the motorbike following a path however they had to stop a few times to ask for directions, and take cover from the shadow monsters. However, Keith did have to fight to help people and at night they camped out or stayed in a hotel before arriving at their destination.

(two weeks later Sunset Village Hotel living room)

Keith (after closing the door): I'm back

Keith wearing a jungle green button-up shirt that has middle-length roll-up sleeves but the collar button undone being folded, a black ankle-length coat that has long sleeves with two black buttons on the left side of his chest and a black belt attached. Black trousers, black plimsols and his hair is in a loose down ponytail.

Anna (standing after sitting on the sofa near the window): Welcome back. Do you want a drink?

Anna wearing a baby pink shirt that has no sleeves with a black horizontal clip below the collar bone, a black ankle-length skirt with a hidden split in the middle, short black leggings and black plimsols with baby pink inside.

Keith (walking while taking his coat off): Yeah. (after sitting down on the sofa) I saw you from the window. You should go outside.

Anna (puts a herb tea bag in a cup): I don't feel comfortable showing my new look yet.

Keith (while Anna pours hot water): Make sense. Don't want people to question you but your training is complete so you're able to fight without worries.

Anna (walking while holding two cups): Besides that dangerous form. (put one cup down in front of Keith) It took two weeks and thought it would be longer.

Keith (taking the cup from the table): Your quick adjusting to new things plus actual combat makes it easier. (made a hat appear on his other hand) That's why I got you this.

Anna (surprised after looking at the uchikatsugi hat): Where did you find this?

Keith (hat floats towards Anna while she lets go of her cup to make it float): I brought you a new one so now you can go outside without worries.

Anna (smiling while she made her hat disappear): Thank you. (after grabbing her cup) So are the preparations almost done?

Keith (after finishing his drink): The vehicles are almost complete.

Anna (after sighing): Wasn't easy finding the right people to remodel two different vehicles so we could carry them around in our magic storage.

Keith (leaning back after putting his cup down): I'm just happy the shared storage was successful.

Anna: Still feeling tired?

Keth (stretching while Anna finishes her drink): A bit. However, before going to bed I would like to know where we would be going.

Anna (made a scroll map open while floating above the table at the same time making both their cups float to the kitchen sink): I was thinking we should head to the desert.

Kiet: Isn't that far away?

Anna: Between the snow, forest and desert land there's a bridge and if I remember this correctly we should be near one. Also, the desert land was the first place to hold information about the shadow creatures during your time. However, I might be wrong since this information was from a book.

Keith (standing): Alright. (remember before taking a step) You've gotten better with the psychic magic.

Anna (scroll close before entering her symbol): It's because I'm using it more. However, don't think I'm being lazy using that instead of my hands.

Keith (opening his bedroom door): I know you would never be lazy. (after turning around) Anyway, make sure to get enough sleep. We're waking up early for breakfast before getting the vehicles.

Anna: I hope you didn't waste all the money Jack gave you.

Keith: I haven't. I have been making more money while you were here resting.

Anna (after sighing): Thought so. I had a feeling that was the reason why you came back late.

Keith (while closing his door): Good night.

Anna (in her mind after sighing): Today is our last night here but (looks at a mirror putting her hat on when it appears on her hand) I'm happy to have one of these hat's back. (smiling) It's the same but I'm surprised it fits my cat ears.

(Keith room)

Keith (in his mind having the door a bit open watching Anna looking at the mirror before closing the door): Glade you like your fight.

(next day morning cafe private room)

Keith (having his coat on a chair while holding a waffle): You sure we don't need to wear our other outfit to the desert?

Anna (has a black coat on with long sleeves behind her chair while her hat hanging on the edge): At each bridge entrance to a land has a changing room so we can change there.

Keith (after taking a bite of his food): That makes things easier. (look at Anna's food) Are you sure that's enough for you?

Anna (after taking a bite of her bacon salad): Yes. (check a bit red while looking away) I like eating meat with my salad bowl but it has been a while eating my favourite food around people.

Keth (smiling): At least you're not hiding what you like and dislike.

Anna (while they both eat): Well I did tell Lilly about...

Keith (looks at Anna after she puts her fork down): Anna.

Anna: It's nothing. I'm just remembering how much the base felt like home but it's gone.

Keith: Don't worry we'll make more memories during the travels plus (while standing) you can tell me more about your past.

Anna: Where are you going?

Keith (putting his coat on): I'm going to get the car and motorbikes.

Anna: Then I should come with you.

Keith (when Anna was about to stand): You stay here and finish eating. Once you're done wait for me outside.

Anna (while Keith walks to the door): Alright.

Once the door closed Anna picked her up fork but she stopped having flashbacks of the time at the base before she started crying. Keith stood outside hearing Anna cry before walking off.
