Journey of the Last Demon and the Female Lieutenant

Chapter 5

Soldier: I think those eyes made you feel soft for that demon. If the past lieutenant was here (when Keith saw Anna grip her hands) he wouldn't accept this demon so easily. I think I would be better than you.

Anna (mad after throwing one of her swords making it land in front of the soldier): How are you bringing up the last lieutenant?

Soldier: You're too soft woman.

Anna (walks towards the soldier): You're calling me soft? (after grabbing the soldier's collar) At least I know what to say.

Keith (touches Anna's shoulder after walking to her): Anna.

Anna (grabs her sword after letting the soldier go): Pack your things and leave.

Soldier (when Anna walks away): You're not serious.

Anna (after she stops): I am. (turn a bit to her side) You're done here.

Alert (after the sound alarm): Shadow monsters have appeared. Squad one to three please move out.

Anna (after fully turning around: Suit up everyone! (while the soldiers run off) Once you are ready get on the motorbikes.

Every soldier (but the soldier who got kicked): Yes mam!

Anna (walking towards the motorbikes sheathing her sword while Keith follows behind) Ready for your first fight?

Keith: Yeah. (in his mind) I'm surprised the team knows about her eyes. I guess she doesn't hide things from them unless she has to.

Once every soldier was ready everyone got on the motorbikes before a wall closed in front of them making the floor move underground.

(motorbike elevator)

Jack (after appearing on everyone's screen): The scout team saw a shadow witch, a few shadow soldiers, and shadow samurais. So please be careful.

Anna (all screens disappear but Keith's screen changes to controls): Everyone makes sure to cover everyone's back (while everyone puts their earpiece mic on) and stay in contact.

Once the floor stopped moving they started their motorbikes having the lights turn on revealing a path. After everyone drove off they soon came out from a hidden entrance between the base and the forest.

(outside the base open field)

After driving a bit more Anna's squad saw the group of shadow monsters before the shadow soldiers started shooting taking down a few motorbikes.

Anna (while everyone dodges the bullets): Report.

Soldier two (from the earpiece): Ten of us got down but five are injured. However their light injuries.

Anna (while another motorbike got destroyed): Do your best to keep up but watch out for the bullets.

Soldier three (from earpiece): Yes mam.

Anna: Everyone get behind me.

Keith: I'm going ahead.

Anna (while Keith drives ahead): Keith!

Once every soldier got behind Anna she made a wind tornado barrier appear shielding everyone from the bullets. While Keith got close the shadow witch released five shadow spikes making him slide to the side to dodge. When he leaned up and drove a bit more he triggered a hidden grenade making smoke appear at the same time his motorbike was sent flying.

Anna: Keith.

(a few distances ahead)

Keith came out of the smoke floating in mid-air making a weapon appear before stabbing one of the samurais. After landing he pulled out his weapon before noticing there was one shadow witch, fifty soldiers, and ninety samurais.

Keith (holding a lance that has a jungle green blade with black filler and black handle): Here's the thunder.

Lightning appears on the lance while four shadow samurais charge at him but they disappear after Keith spins around unleashing a slash. A shadow soldier shot a bullet from behind but he stepped to the side in time to dodge before throwing his lance. However, once his lance hit that shadow soldier its body froze.

Keith (in his mind surprised while his lance reappeared in his hand): I had a feeling something didn't feel right after waking up. (block two samurai attacks) I don't know how it happens but your aura must of combined with mine (push them away before cutting them down) giving me your ice ability Sosuke.

(a few distances away)

Anna: Guys I'm going ahead. Once you arrive split into your usual group.

Every soldier: Yes mam.

Soldier one: Be careful Luietante.

Anna: Thank you.

After Anna rode ahead she slowly stood up on her seat because when she was getting close she pressed the emergency break sending her flying. In mid-air, Anna did a front flip while unsheathing her swords making the blades be covered in fire.

(a few distances ahead)

The shadow witch releases a huge ice spike at Anna so she unleashes a vertical slash to cut through the ice and when the ice falls Anna throws her swords having them hit the witch's head and stomach. After landing Anna used her mind to make the half-ice break into pieces before she made them stab the shadow witch's body having a few hit its core.

Anna (catches her sword after they fly towards her): Now that the main problem is gone. Time to deal with the remaining enemies.

(not that far from Anna)

Lilly (back to back with Keith): Here's the report. There are ten shadow samurai and nine shadow soldiers left.

Keith (releases a lightning strike from his hand while the soldier shoots): What about the shadow witch?

Anna (walking towards them sending two shadow samurai and soldier flying): I dealt with that witch.

Keith (throws four ice spikes at the four shadow creatures that are in the air): That was fast.

Anna: Can I get an update on the situation?

Lilly: We lost six soldiers and ten are injured.

Anna: I see. (in her mind) Let your souls be at peace.

Soldier (from a distance while being pulled into the ground): Someone helps!

Keith (see the remaining fifteen shadow monsters go underground): What's going on?

Anna: This is a trick the enemy does to cut down our forces. (touch her earpiece) Listen up. If anyone is so injured they can't move please help them get back to base and watch the ground. (look at Keith) Let's go.
