Chapter 6

Keith (follows Anna from behind when she starts walking): Is this a retreat?

Anna (soon started running): For now we are. Since the shadow creatures are hiding I want to get the injured out of here.

Keith (his lance disappears while looking at squads two and three): You're different from the other two lieutenants. Their still fighting.

Anna (sheathing one sword): I was taught comrades are more important than winning the fight.

Anna saw a black buddle appear behind a soldier so she held her hand out making a tornado shield appear on that person making the buddle disappear. However, a shadow whip wraps around Anna's neck having her drop her sword before being pulled back.

Keith (while turning around): Anna.

Anna (while being pulled into the buddle): Don't worry about me and get everyone out of here.

Keith (in his mind after the buddle disappears): Okay.

Lilly (from Keith's earpiece while he picks up Anna's sword): Where did the first lieutenant go?

Keith (starts walking before running): She got taken. Continue returning to the base.

Jack (from Keith's earpiece): What's happening?

Keith: Anna was taken. Can you explain what that buddle is?

Jack: The shadow monsters use it to enter our land.

Keith: But from where?

Jack: From their realm. The shadow monsters are from the shadow realm.

Keith: Are you saying Anna is in the shadow realm right now?

Jack: Yes. Anyone who gets pulled in arrives there and there might be a chance they don't return.

(shadow realm forest)

Anna (sitting up after waking up on the floor): Ow. The aura here hasn't changed. (in her mind while standing) I wonder how long it has been since the last time I was here. (after touching her swords) I still have my other sword. (toch her earpiece) Hello, can anyone hear me? (taking her earpiece off after getting static) Great it's broken.

Suddenly Anna was pulled up having a tree branch wrapped around her right arm making her hang a few distance from the ground. Anna tried to reach for her sword but spikes appeared from the branch damaging her arm.

Anna (whisper while moving her wrist): Burn.

Fire appears on Anna's right hand but when her hand closes the tree suddenly burns while turning into a shadow tree before disappearing dropping her.

Anna (after sitting up): It's rare to encounter a shadow tree. (in her mind looking at her right arm after feeling pain) I can't move my arm. (left hand glows before touching her right arm) For now, I can only stop the bleeding and regain temporary function.

A mist suddenly appeared so Anna stood up unsheathing her sword waiting to see if she could sense anything. Anna raised her sword covering the blade in wind magic but she soon jumped to the side dodging a web string making it destroy a tree. After landing on one foot she jumps again using her psychic to throw that broken tree in the unknown attacker's direction.

Anna (in her mind moving her right fingers after landing): I can only use my right arm for one or two fights.

Anna lifts her foot a bit before she stomps on the ground releasing a wind wave to blow the mist away revealing a shadow spider. The spider disappears into the shadow before coming out from the two trees behind Anna. A fire sword appeared on Anna's right hand at the same time fire covered the blade of her actual sword because once she turned around the two spiders fired their webs but she cut them before jumping away.

Anna (after landing on a tree branch): They split.

Anna sheaths her sword but when the spiders both release a shadow web she makes the fire sword disappear before jumping to the branch above her to swing herself to the branch above the one she's hanging. After she landed Anna quickly made a fire bow with an arrow appear making the wind cover the tip. Once she released it and hit the ground between the two spiders a huge explosion appeared burning the spiders.

Anna (while the fire bow disappeared): If I hadn't killed those spiders more could have appeared. (in her mind after touching her arm) I think the last attack I did might of made my arm worse. (turn to the side before jumping) I need to get out of here before more shadow creatures find me.

(open field)

Anna (landing after flying from the trees): That took a while to get out of there. (looking at her surroundings) I wish there was a map in this realm.

Suddenly a big shadow bird came flying down at Anna but at the last second, she jumped away before the board clapped its wings together sending Anna flying away right when she was about to land.

Anna (just stop sliding while standing after rolling away): I'm getting sick of this. (in her mind while removing the ribbon at the same time the bird flies towards her) I remove the seal behind these eyes (eyes glow red while a baby pink symbol appears before turning red) and once again I take the (symbol glows red) form that doesn't belong to me.

When the bird reached Anna to grab her with its claws the aura activated a force shield making the bird struggle to touch her before being pushed away. However, after the bird regains its balance Anna's aura disappears at the same time Keith appears far from Anna's location.

(far away)

Keith (after unleashing a lightning strike from his hand at a shadow creature): So this is the shadow realm. (in his mind after sensing a familiar aura) I know I sense this aura but it was way weaker. (start running after remembering Anna's eyes) It's Anna.

While running he used his lightning magic to increase his speed a bit however on the way he saw the shadow bird dodging a couple of random fire attacks but at rare moments he saw the bird have no control and hit the ground. When Keith suddenly reached the lake he didn't stop because once he touched the water it froze creating a platform under his feet.

Keith (in his mind while running): I wonder how much power those eyes have but I'm curious about what type of breed the demon is.
